His career high is 82. He's just not a great hitter. They definitely overpaid for him; but if they think he was the final piece and that outfield defense was what was lacking, it doesn't matter to me what they paid.

Agreed. It's not my money and he definitely improves the defense.

Yep he'll never live up to that contract but like Lester , if they win it all or for gods sake at least get to a WS, its probably worth it.

26. Career starting point for most players in MLB. Just seems like he has played forever. He will be fine. Pressing because of the big $$$ and high expectations.

He will improve and hit .260 or so, but to expect the .293 he hit last year would be foolish. He was in a contract year. Expect more like his .266 career average and 12-14 HR with perhaps 60-75 RBI.

Oh OK Mr. Baseball. I will take your word as gospel. Why play the season because you lay the stats out beforehand. I am sure Joe has you on speed dial.

And then put him at third.

Man, Addy looks lost against this guy.

That would have made sense to me. But I guess Joe wants to save his bat for possibly a more crucial situation?

That is pretty cool

Didn't it look like Espinoza moved his foot forward, to get hit by that pitch? He is supposed to make an attempt to get out of the way of the pitch.

He purposely leaned into both pitches that have hit him. Throw one at his fucking head next time.

Not!

I like Strop, and always have maintained that he is a guy I would depend on. More even than Rondon. If he gives up hits, they are usually on ground balls. Lots of weak contact on balls in play VS Strop.

Don't forget that I was a Lastella guy before any of you. He's our Hunter Pence. He can hit good pitching.

He's a contact guy. Much needed on this team.

You really do not have a clue do you? Strop or Rondon? That is easy. You and cock hat enjoy losing. Strop blows at every level. Thank God for Jake in that deal.
