Based on his play in the first 28 games, I would have to think that the near impossible, might be remotely possible. The way he's hit, handled the pitching, picked off runners.....if he can keep this up, it is absolutely possible isn't it? He's said to be a favorite amongst players, so he would probably get a lot of support from players around the league. It's not likely he will be able to maintain the current level of performance, but it's been fun to watch him do so well early.

the positive effects of off-season juicing don't wear off until late June.

Not truly serious, but at .250 with 2 HR and 8RBI and 3 guys picked off, I thought he was deserving of praise for his early success this season.

He's already doubled last season's HR total and is just 1 RBI from last years (9) RBI total. But he did have a season with Boston where he hit .289 and a year with the Reds where he had 21 HR's. I doubt he gets double figures in HR's. hasn't since 2007.

If John Scott can make an all-star game, why the hell not?

Wasn't he the MVP in that game too?

Hell, if he keeps catching like this, what ever offense the Cubs get is an absolute bonus!

Exactly right. He's done a great job behind the plate. The hit's are just the happy ending after a great massage.

It has been so hard to not get over excited after enduring this my entire life.....but I am going to trust Maddon to make the right decisions... ( barring injury ) it is kind of scary!

Its another of these dumb John Scott things. It was dumb when they did it for him and its dumb that they are doing it for Ross. He's having a nice start to the season, but let's be realistic.

There is no doubt that when Montero gets back, Ross is back to catching maybe 2 times a week. He probably winds up hitting around .220 with 3-4 HR and MAYBE 20 RBI. But he really is a good catcher. Exceptional at picking off/ throwing out runners. Anyway, he's done a great job filling in, while Montero and Schwarber have been out.

The entire Cubs roster should go to Petco Park to represent the NL. They are clearly the best baseball team ever assembled.

Thanks to America for pointing me here. It's a thread with a good premise. I think it merits discussion.
