WE????

You are the guy who gave up on Lackey in the 2nd inning and then he goes 7IP, gives up just 2 runs with 11 strikeouts. He and Zobrist have been the best players today.

22 out of 28. Not bad.

Glad last night's appearance didn't drain Rondon.

Please God.....no more "Go Cubs Go".

Might make him smarter, like when people in cartoons get hit on the head.

Fucking W!

Good job by Lackey and the boys today. The 8th inning never happened.

Lackey goes to 4-1 with another quality start helping the Cubs to a 22-6 overall record. Great signing.

That runs the Cubs win streak to 5 games and they are 7 games up in the NL Central. Now I get to relax tonight and root for a 3rd straight loss by the White Sox though they face the lowly Twinkies, so it might not be a 3rd perfect day (Cubs win, Sox lose) in a row.

I meant more a drinking contest between two belligerent assholes that ends in near-death for both.

I don't know that at all. Early in the season when he struggled a bit in a couple starts, it was in the first couple innings and then he shut them down. That may happen here today as well.

73 degrees, wind blowing out 9MPH, hitter friendly umpire, and Lackey goes 7 innings, giving up just 2 runs, with 11 strikeouts. That is what they call a quality start.

Great Friken start.....he didn't cave!

It was a great start. Especially when you look at how other pitchers in the game including Schurzur struggled in identical conditions. Lackey was one of the 3 guys I targeted for the Cubs and I am very happy they got him. Bringing back Fowler was another great deal, and the Zobrist signing is looking better and better. I'll bet the Yankees with all their pitching problems wish they had Warren back right now too.

They do, but Latos has given up 7 and 11 hits respectively, in his last 2 starts as he comes back to earth and he's facing Nolasco tonight, in what should be a fairly evenly matched game. The Sale start should be an easy win, but he has struggled against the Twinkies in the past couple years, so who knows.

Going to a message board to ostensibly read the posts of others but ignoring them out of hand is one of the biggest wastes of time I could imagine.

A distant second is going to a message board and complaining about the repetitive and worthless posts of others, but I emphasize distant...
