I get using Patton yesterday maybe, when they had a big lead after 7, if he had chosen to. But why in a game where they are trailing by 1 run ? You would think this is a game where you might use your more trusted guys.

Bullpen has been pretty bad so far this season. It hasn't mattered though because we've been smoking everyone. It's a situation that needs to be figured out asap.

The only thing that I'm annoyed with today is the bunting. Especially keeping Hammel in just to bunt. I thought giving up outs was against our team philosophy.

That's not fair. Rondon (though I don't consider him elite) is 5/5 in saves with an 0.87 ERA. Strop is 1-0 with a 2.19 ERA 0.73 WHIP, Warren 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA. But Cahill and Grimm have ERA's in the upper 3's and Travis Wood is at 4.50, so some of the bullpen guys have been less than stellar.

Love the 2 out hit from Addy! Dusty left him in a little too long. Seems like a familiar refrain!

Again, he puts in Wood to start the inning. Forget the righty/ lefty crap. Wood has a 4.50 ERA and has been shaky. Warren has been really good. Why not start the inning with Warren?

I agree with you HockeyGay, they need to upgrade a couple spots in the bullpen.
