They definitely were not worse than Danks's stats. He's also pitched in the playoffs....he's a risk, but a risk with an upside. Danks = no upside.

Wrong again. Check the last 20 starts and check back.

First of all, Lincecum pitched out of the bullpen for part of 2014. He's also righty. The two have had injuries, but their injuries were completely different. Also, Lincecum obviously hasn't pitched this year, but he can't be much worse than Danks was this year (3 of 4 clunkers). Depending on the contract, it could be worth it.

Danks was not the answer. He was lucky to have kept his ERA to 7 this year. I realize that he had some tough losses last year, but the guy also goes on bad streaks where he spots the opposition three runs in the second.

Admittedly it was in a completely dominating Sox game, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. Evidently so did MLB Network, they played about 90 seconds of Hawk cuts this morning.

Hawk is a tricky one, largely depends on who he is paired with and if he "respects" them or not. It's a roll of the dice.

Admittedly, I love Hawk on many an occasion but when he's bad....he's the fucking worst. Fun worst, but worst nonetheless.

On a related note SomeGuy is really enjoying Benetti and Stone.

I see them finishing right at 81. Slowly hemorrhagimg the hot start all year. They're gonna lose a series to the Yankees while sending out their best 2 starters :lol:
