Somehow, despite the two usually being diametrically opposed, Boilermaker Rick managed to draw from both. There are people I spar with, of course, but I can deal with it: RFDC and I fight about sports on a sports board, whatever, and denisdman and I don't get along on much but that's because our brains are probably about as different as can be. I feel like most disagreements here, I can de-escalate in my mind. But the combination of that much arrogance, that much intractability, that little intellectual curiosity, I can't do anything with that except hope there's a cliff somewhere he can fall off of.

Nice post. Sports message board. This forum was back in the day. Then it evolved into who is who,who posts more and all the rest. Get back to basics and this will end. Fearless leader turned the tribe over to those who mean well but will destroy what has been for many years. Slowly the end is near as we can see from our reading. Been a nice ride but this place is turning into a slow drowning pool of murky crap. S.O.S.

Strong take, Scooter. It also happens to be pretty accurate.

You've been on like a 6 month crusade about how horrible I am with me pretty much just ignoring you.

I really have two choices here.
1) Finally start taking shots back
2) Ignore it and just laugh at it and hope that you get over whatever obsession you've suddenly developed for me.

With that said: Thank you for your input.

By the way, I wasn't protesting anything. I really like 2.5 of the 3 wise men. I was on a real life vacation.

The Cubs may be a better team than the White Sox this year.

Yeah, I told him getting my getting my miniature gluten free wedding cake concept off the ground is monopolizing most of my free time. It's a wedding cake, only really small and gluten free, and you put it right next to the regular wedding cake at the recpetion, so that your gluten intolerant guest get to have the whole wedding cake experience, sans gluten.

What was the point of this post? It sounds like you want to threaten CH, but you're hiding behind some typical Clintonian doublespeak.

It's not a threat. It's just my take on the situation and an attempt to not "take the fun out of the board" to a guy who clearly doesn't like me and has spent a lot of time lately taking shots at me.

He's trying to fill the time he's traditionally dedicated to 'Hawks suck, gonna lose' posts about this time of year.

  what? Even Dan Bernstein would have a difficult time inferring a threat from that post.
