Mary Matalin AND Carville. They are a contrived floor show when they are together.

Floor/Dog & Pony show assertions aside, which I don't fully disagree with, Matalin & Schmidt are two of his favorites & he generally will let them thoroughly get their points across.

Btw, looking at the first 7-8 shows listed, at least four have two republican panelists. Now one of each pair may be a Log Cabin Republican or a "Libertarian", but each claims "conservative principles" fwiw    .

I have no idea who many of those guests are.

I found it humorous though that the more elective offices your candidate loses, the more you remain a Republican strategist.

The Republican Party has a deep bench when it comes to "consultants." They are an industry unto themselves.

I don't know why Seacrest didn't reply to this post with the same level of confusion and bewilderment that he did when I typed it in the vaccine thread.

Constantly dispensing unearned condescension tends to wear a man down, make him tired, make his mind cloudy and slow.

Because you said you had actually read the thread. Which you clearly he had not.

At least Brick went back and read it when he caught bullshitting.

Bill's kinda getting into "lol he's Drumpf" territory down the stretch here, and that's not a good place to be.

No, it's not new, but it's clear he's gonna kick it into hyperdrive.

He made an ass of himself defending the invasion of Libya, saying that Hillary gets no blame for it, it was Obama's call and the right one, and it's what Reagan would have done. This one's a hat trick: 1) if Hillary gets no blame for her State Department, neither can she get any credit, 2) I don't think it was the right call because of how extremists filled the power vacuum not unlike Iraq, 3) what self-respecting leftist justifies policy by saying Ronald Reagan would have done it? Maher talks a big game, but falls in line with Democratic Party orthodoxy when the chips are down, and I suppose the chips have never been more down than they are with Donald Trump being the presumptive Republican nominee.

Ehh... I agree with much of what you say, but he's more anti-Republican than he is pro-anyone (which I can appreciate on some levels). However, that certainly leads to some of the blind "support" he lends to, say, Hillary Clinton types.

Bill did make a strong push for Bernie Sanders along the way, but only once Bernie had picked up enough states for Bill to stick his neck out on it. He'd been solidly pro-Hillary before that, and is so again. There's an Overtime clip where one of the questions was "do you think Bernie Sanders is a legitimate challenger?", to which he just said "no" and immediately moved to the next question.

I'm starting to sour on John Oliver, too. I don't know how much is the man himself and how much is his presumably young and well-educated writing staff, but lately he seems to care way more about the culture-war shit than some of the more populist concerns he used to have. He went from doing a show about how shitty our infrastructure is to "your real name is Drumpf" and the latest signpost of coastal elite liberalism, "isn't Hamilton so cool?"

Finally got around to watching Maher for this week. God, he's getting worse about Hillary and Obama every week. Spent the whole hour howling at Republicans for falling in line behind Trump like we always knew they would, which is fine, but then he walked all over Jeremy Scahill's criticism of Hillary and called Hillary v. Trump "a crazy person and a nice lady." A nice lady! A kind, matronly arranger of coups d'etat. His monologue at the end was all over the place and didn't make much sense, and that's not even getting into Bill self-aggrandizing as a "man of facts" when he's the same guy who had Charlie Sheen's quack doctor to say that goat milk cures AIDS.

Michael Moore pointed out something I didn't know (and because it was Michael Moore, I'd better fact-check it just in case), which was that Obama himself showed up in Flint to drink the poisoned water in a photo-op, and Maher got all indignant about that, too.

Bill, seems to not understand Hilary is a Republican running as a Democrat. He keeps blindly pumping her on his show, and giving The Bern no exposure.

That's not entirely true. He had Bernie on for the one-on-one once and will be having him on again in two weeks. (Whether the tenor of the interview will shift from "so tell us why you're running" to "drop out, you piece of shit," one can't ascertain.) Bill started to speak pretty glowingly of Bernie when it looked like he had a puncher's chance, but dropped back into Hill-shilling when he went on a losing streak.

It's obvious at this point that Bill is just fanatically obsessed with making sure Donald Trump loses. Any principles he holds beyond that are secondary. He's not going to go down a loser on this election.

I am certainly not saying he is black balling him, I think he is just soooooo Pro Hilary. Which is odd since she is corporate and he is for the people.
