We are not that far removed where old habits won't prevail...this slide last year would of netted nothing. guys are sliding all over the place still and getting called for interference with much worse slides than that. Thats what i'm saying, this is nothing to get worked up about. sure last fall probably is the catalyst but a hard 2nd base slide where you are barely touched? psh.

When I first saw it I didn't particularly find anything wrong with the slide for crying out loud ... and I still don't.

I would suggest that Bautista probably wouldn't have been hit in the face if he hadn't stood up and walked over toward Odor like he was King Shit of Fuck Island with a 'whatchoo gon' do about it' presence ... at that point, he's asking for it, as they say ... and brother, he done got it.

According to the new rules, it wasn't even close to being within the rules. The only part that was good, was that he stayed in the baseline, for the most part.
