Love this show. MJF, Mark Harmon, MacGyver all on this one. Heather Locklear for you guys. Howard Cosell is old school.

I remember watching Abdul-Jabbar try to ride a bike and his knees were hitting the handlebars each time. Definitely a show they should bring back.

It also got me thinking about the thrill of victory and Vinko Bogataj.

Catherine Bach just kissed some guy in Simon says. This was so great. And then so did shattner.

Confused. What do they do on this show? Celebrities doing what? What network is it on?

I'm going to find you and beat the white out of you if you are actually suggesting you don't know what the show is.

Your final question, however, is allowed to stand given Spaulding's post as though it was actually on right now (like on, say, MeTV or something).

They kayak in an olympic sized pool, tug of war, dunk tank, simon says, run, bike, and do a football end zone thing. Come over and watch it. I dvred it. Howard cosell thinks women can't do anything. Mark harmon is hot and super athletic.

No. I don't know the show. So I guess you can beat the "white" out of me. I would like that. Who the hell wants to be white? Make me black!!!!!

But I'll look it up and DVR it.

It was a show from the mid 70s early 80s , Beardown. Couple highlights I remember were Jacklyn Smith dusting the field in her leg of the relay race and the am sweat coming off Gabe Kaplans nose during tug of war. Also the guy that ran Simon Says was a fucking genius at doing it.

I saw it on last night in the hotel room, but I couldn't figure out what channel it was on. ESPN Classic?

Cosell was interviewing Scott Baio, so I changed the channel.

I remember this show very well. Very entertaining and eye candy for everybody.

IIRC, wasn't this was a spinoff of ABC Wide World of Sports' "Superstars"?

"Superstars" was a weekly show that featured top athletes of the time competing in various sporting events against each other and hosted by Frank Gifford. No celebrities, just current and ex-pros?

Anybody remember Superstars? Filmed from beautiful Key Biscayne, Florida?..

Dwight Stones was on a lot.

The most famous episode was when George Frazier almost drowned.

Cleopatra was the result of several generations of inbreeding.

I used to love this as a kid. Always wanted to do the obstacle course.

If I remember correctly, Scott Baio was like the Wayne Gretzky of this competition.

A few years later he did a record setting night time two mile run wearing Bruno Maglis...
