why is anyone surprised about heyward's bat? the batting average is 50 points lower than expected but outside of 1.5 seasons in 2012-2013, he hasnt displayed much power/run producing.

Theo is incredibly lucky he fell back asswards into Fowler in spring training. This season would have looked a lot different without him and fingers would have deservedly been pointing at him.

I heard him interviewed by Black Giggles and Big Purps (the least effective of all the Avengers) today. I don't think I have ever heard him before and based on Bernstein's previous descriptions of him I expected him to sound like Bob from Niles (the not-in-possession-of-all-of-his-faculties guy was who B&B used to have on for movie reviews and to basically laugh at him) but he sounded like a normal, intelligent guy -- like how I would expect someone in his position to sound.

he may have acted stupidly in the past... but for him to survive the transition from trib to ricketts tells you he either knows what he is doing from the business side of things or that he's a great bullshitter

Lil' Danny couldn't be more wrong about golfers not being able to throw matches, except during the match play events. Every week, there are full tournament, and individual round matchups between two golfers. It would be easy for Phil to bet on his opponent, and play poorly on purpose.

Those two dopes had quite a laugh at a texter's expense, even though he/she was 100% correct.

In fairness to Theo, if there's no Fowler then Scwhwarber is probably still playing so maybe they'd still be rolling.

Schwarber's production this season was not a foregone conclusion. His defense was. Fowler would have been 150 pounds by the end of the season playing between Schwarber and soler
