Team Sini here as well

I don't think some of you guys appreciate different.

The problem with your perspective, however, is that the substance of sini's thinking was wholly mundane rather than unique or insightful.

Aside from TM's statement, just a reminder that different doesn't necessarily mean better.

You don't have a problem with that when we say we like you.

Tall Midget's dislike of sinicalypse makes me sad.

As I've probably mentioned before, he wrote to me fairly often, and I would do my best to respond, which admittedly wasn't a 1:1 ratio. At the very least, I always read what he wrote, I'd tell myself when I felt like a shitbird for receiving a long letter and not replying in kind. I thought he was severely misguided on a few things, like his joy in the Cubs getting swept or his belief that ambient/downtempo music sucks (though I think he did indulge me and listen to some Boards of Canada), but he brought a lot to the place and I'm glad we were acquainted. I hope he's allowed back.

But worst poster? Shouldn't even be in the conversation.

Most long-winded? Sure, but the guy was far from the worst. And I'm someone who would give him shit from time to time.

Sini is good people. And he is not on a banned list. There is no banned list.

Sini (who's first name was Jim) was someone I always enjoyed reading. He reminded me of a long-winded stand-up comic (Marc Maron or Richard Lewis) who babbles on but it's up to you to find the gold nuggets in the word stream.

That seems like quite the oversimplification. I didn't mind the guy, but I didn't read his posts. If you're going to write novels, they had better be damn interesting.
