I thought I had a thread on this but I can't find it. The Duke Lacrosse story is on now.

I just watched the one on the Orlando Magic.

They're scraping the barrel but I still enjoyed it.

How long do we have to wait for the Kaner false rape allegation 30 for 30, 3 years?

We should get somebody here to do it now. That would be awesome.

Have they done one on the early 90's Pirates? Leyland manager. Bonds, Bonilla, Van Slyke in the OF. Drabek/Wakefield pitching. One of the best rosters around and couldn't make the WS.

Won 95+ games for 3 seasons.
Made the NLCS each of those seasons.

Lost in 6,7,7 games in the NLCS. to the Reds once, Braves twice.

Pittsburgh had a newspaper strike going on during at least some of this time.
That Pittsburgh the city wasn't more behind the Pirates--home games, even in the playoffs, wouldn't sell out--has been attributed to the newspaper strike.

So you get the social studies angle they seem to like in these 30 for 30's, along with a great-but-never-won-it-all team.

Never should've let Sid Bream go.

Um what the shit are they going to show in Believeland? A whole bunch of quasi optimistic fans that know the teams will ultimately fail and do?

yeah ,you get to see the Jordan's shot over Craig Ehlo over and over, Elway's Drive and Ernest Byner's fumble against Denver in the AFC Championship game over and over.

the Shot, the Drive, the Fumble is what it should've been called.

I didn't stick with it enough to see what they did with the Indians--assume they threw the mid-90's Indians into the mix.

I liked the buffalo bills one. That poor kicker. There are some really great moments, behind the scenes, and the aftermath in some of these. Some of them really show that what the french call a certain i don't know what.

Buffalo 66. not sure chicks would like it as much as dudes, as it features a barely legal/barely clothed Christina Ricci. But the kicker's parodied in it quite a bit.

Bill Simmons is still doing 30 for 30 style sports docs over at HBO. First one is supposed to be on Andre the Giant

So, I don't think we are talking about the same 30 for 30 on the buffalo bills but good for you if that's what does it for ya.

I was referencing the Buffalo bills football team of the 90s but, okay. I don't think they did a 30 for 30 on what you are watching.

Exactly. Buffalo 66 is a regular old movie film in which the Buffalo Bills team of the early 90's play a significant plot point--especially their kicker Scott Norwood.
Similar to the kicker thing in that Jim Carey movie about animals.

Really? I felt so bad for Scott Norwood. I might watch whatever you are telling me to watch.

I liked the Believeland episode.

You know how you would always hear about the agony of being a Cubs fan and you'd always get your heart broken? Well this was that × 3.

Talks about the Indians run in the 90s culminating in their choke job in game 7 of the 1997 World Series and the Browns mostly. They do show the Ehlo shot, but that's pretty much all there is with the Cavs.

They are very much like 60 Minutes where they have a topic you care nothing about but they make it something captivating.

They are all good. Even ones you don't think you would like. I got hooked on one where Navratalova and Evert were just talking about each other and all their great matches.

They are all good, but I think my favorite is still the one about Vlade Divac and Petrovic and the breakup Yugoslavia.
