I was at the Schaumburg Boomers game watching shitty baseball. I kept checking the score of the Cubs game until it was 5-1 because it was going to ruin my night. Unacceptable.

The still only gave up those 5 runs. Baez pissed away a great opportunity by reverting to being a fucking idiot at the plate and hacking for the bay on the first pitch after an exceptional walk by Soler. Sending the completely worthless Federowicz up to bat with 2 on in the 8th after announcing and then having to pull Montero blows my mind. It also seemed like they checked out for a few innings after Lester got the hook.

My take from this game is that Baez better get his head out of his ass and go back to what they taught him to do the last year and a half. He has been awful the last 2 series mentally at the plate.
