The Padres crew just made an honest mistake. The choir has sang before games in the past.

I might have given them the benefit of the doubt, except it sounds like there were issues even prior to the game:

"The choir claimed the incident followed “several days of troubling comments and behavior” from within the baseball team, which tried to prevent the singers from performing unless they each bought a ticket to the game."

The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus sounds like it lacks diversity and is actively discriminatory on multiple levels. This is very problematic.

Plus they weren't even going to sing live...they were going to lip-sync to a recording (just happened to be the wrong recording).

So ... they're asked to come sing the anthem (this is not their first time?), the microphones don't work, for some reason(s) the PA people play a recording instead, they walk off the field (with some fans being stupid ... nothing to do with the organization), Padres ask them to come back someday.

Is that about it?
