Thank you. I was hoping somebody would answer.

Weird thing is Cubs game is out on CSN Plus (Channel 201). But it's on the air on CLTV.

So it must be something at their studio transmitter. I don't know.

Sent to AAA after game 1. Unless he learns how to hit, he can stay there.

At least get Jackson in from 3rd and make these dickbags use Allen. Allen has Sox-related nightmares too.

It's harder to score when you're playing with 24 outs. Sacrifice bunting and bad baserunning is destroying what little offense this team has. Not much different than the way things have been for the past several years.

Yeah, Robin was terrible in that first game. A sac bunt, he burned thru the bullpen, and not pinch hitting for Sanchez with bases loaded in the 7th. All three of those were idiot moves IMO. I hate the bunting ALL the time, but when you are up 3 runs its a bit easier to live with I suppose.

All of that said, anytime Abreu wants to get a hit in a key situation would be alright by me. He came up with guys in scoring position 3 times in game 1 and went 0fer. He has been awful for the better part of a month now. If he's hurt, then DL him for 15 days and hope to tread water during that time. If he is not hurt, he needs to be buried in that lineup for a few games until he can get a few hits and get some confidence back.

See, I look at it just the opposite. I can see trying to scratch a run out in a one-run or tie game when a pitcher has dominated your lineup all game. But when the ball is flying all over and you're generating huge offense, why would you want to make outs on purpose? And with Eaton, your best hitter? That's the definition of dumb. If you don't think your best hitter can get a hit, it really is time for some major changes across the board.

The only thing that doesn't bother me about Eaton bunting is that he is a good enough bunter and fast enough to get a hit out of that.

98% of the time Robin calls for the bunt though, its awful. And Steve Stone seems to just love it.

I have no problem with a guy trying to bunt for a hit. But that wasn't what that was yesterday. That was a straight sacrifice. I would go so far as to say you should NEVER sacrifice with a man on second. Not even with Jon Lester at the plate.

Well if it is Lester...

Totally agree though. Can not keep giving up outs with stupid bunting Especially with people who cannot bunt like Saladino. Ventura is also awful at using his replay reviews. Passed up multiple opportunities. His line-ups are odd. Why ever bat Sanchez, Rollins or Saladino second? Why DH Rollins?

And the bullpen was overused, which lead to the recent lull. I blame that more on Cooper though, since he seems to be in charge of the arms.

That all said. Just need Frazier and Abreu to hit. And the bullpen to get back to normal. That should be enough to win this very winnable division and hopefully league.

All KW has to do is say, "Hey Robin, don't bunt anymore."

Problem would be solved.

Yeah, I'm tired of Cooper too. Whenever some buster puts together four or five good starts it's Dr. Don Cooper, Genius. When that guy fails it's Ventura's fault.
