Well, it can really only go up from here...

Birmingham, Charlotte and Winston-Salem all got off to pitiful starts (each had a 1-4 record going into yesterday's game).
Tim Anderson has gone AWOL from Charlotte, at least as far anyone knows.
Carson Fulmer got lit up in his first start.
Courtney Hawkins (one of my picks to turn it around) just got put on the DL.
Scott Carroll, decent long reliever, also on the DL.
Matt Davidson, potential breakout after a hot ST, is 4/21 with 9 K's and 1 BB to start.

Tim Anderson is 2 for 10 in two games. Not great, but not AWOL either.

Have to admit, looking for some NEW names in the Sox system. Lots of Baseball insiders blowing smoke up Rick Hahns ass about the talent level increase. Those players dont need to be better now than the listed players, but who is the future outside of top 5 draft picks?

He is literally AWOL, hasn't appeared for Charlotte in in a few days and nobody knows why.

Corey Zangari is a guy a lot of people really like. I'm one of them. Big time power potential, a good plate approach (he's only 18) and he hits for average. Probably locked into 1B/DH already, but still a real bat.

Olt at least played in the majors.

Davidson still has some time before he's completely toast, I think he can be a good player still. I think I'm alone in that opinion as Davidson doesn't even make the T30 for the White Sox most of the time.

Dude, you cant drop the "I really Like" on every player, in hopes of one guy finally making and then you can tell everyone how much you liked him.

I will wait until you disown C Hawkins before you take another guy!

Tim Anderson--left wrist strain.
Carson Fulmer--crushed again.

What a disastrous start for the farm. Wow. At least MY GUY Zangari went 2-4 with a blast.

UPDATES:

Charlotte gave up 20 runs last night and nobody you care about on that team is hitting over .200. Including Anderson, which is a bit scary.

Zangari has a cool .800 OPS with 3 HR and a 24/5 K/BB. K's are obviously high but he's the youngest player on Kannapolis and doing quite well for himself through 60 PA.

Good news from the farm!

-Hawkins and Anderson are on fire. Anderson in particular:
Quote:
Patrick Nolan ‏@SSS_pnoles 3h3 hours ago

Tim Anderson: .459/.487/.730 since May 10th with just a 10.3% strikeout rate.

He'll be a huge chip at the deadline at least.

-Matt Davidson has also lit it up with an .860 OPS and 7 HR.

-Coats is back from the DL and keeping up his .330 average

-Michalczewski is hanging in there at Birmingham. The Sox putting him there was extremely aggressive. Zangari, my guy, is another victim of paying up to a new level. Reevaluate both of them once they had some time to understand what they are up against now.

Anderson up to .305 BA on the season. He was under the mendoza line a couple weeks ago, big turnaround for him at AAA.
Coats is off the DL and still hitting
Davidson continues to have his best season on the farm for the Sox
Leury, a guy I think is a better bench player than Sanchez, is doing OK.
Hayes did poorly today, but if you're looking for a LHH power bat he's a possible internal option. Org likes him.

Fulmer looks very bust-like
Zagari is slowly getting better now, 2-4 w a blast today. He's only 18 so a long way to go.
Adams is doing pretty well, which is exciting. AAA may not be too far off for him.

Sox have very little in terms of MLB-ready arms to help stabilize the pen, and that's really the #1 thing they'd need from the farm (aside from some beast top 10 overall prospect LH DH, or SP). But at least there's some hope from the position player prospects.

They'll trade Anderson and Fulmer for CarGo, miss the playoffs and complain that nobody goes to the games.

If the trade Anderson for Cargo I'll go mad.

I have no problem dealing Anderson, but if they do it better be for a top of the line starter.

The Sox minor league talent is as poor as its ever been. Total garbage just like the management team.
