It seems a bit different from the comic series in details. I haven't yet doped out whether that's a good thing or not. Need to see more than the pilot. The actor though looks a lot like Jesse, so that's a good sign. Tulip... well, doesn't.

I don't quite know how I feel about this yet. If it was a miniseries or have a set end date, I'd be more interested because, unlike the walking dead, this book is finished.

I know this is from a comic book- or graphic novel as they call them nowadays- but they lost me when there were medieval weapons lying around on the jet airplane.

Yeah, well :-)

Ninja shit?

Less stupid than having them shoot pistols. Instant decompression.

What hurt was Cass opening the door, and there's no discernible decompression/windstorm. Want to see if this is just an idiot detail they glossed over because its a pilot, or not. I mean, I really love the comic/GN

Watching season finale now. Loved the first season of this show. There were a couple slow episodes in the middle, but the slow crawl approach to this series will pay off big time for future seasons. I'm not a purist who can't accept change, so I think that mindset allowed me to enjoy the changes from graphic novel to TV show better. Having Garth Ennis as their script editor really paid off for Rogen and Goldberg. The writing and pace has Ennis' fingerprints all over it.

The acting is phenomenal, and I so appreciate the dry humor.

Can't wait to see where we go the rest of this season finale and next season.

Glad I found something to give me my appointment TV fix after GoT ended.

Gonna watch the finale later tonight, but I have enjoyed it as well.

Kind of a prequel to where the graphic novel started, so it's been interesting to see the characters evolve.

+1000

The character development has been stellar. I think they played it smart. Next season will probably see the budget expand, so using the first season to establish each main character is a great move.

Indeed.

The scene in the church made me laugh.

NO MY SON, I WAS SCRATCHING IT. NOT PICKING IT.

Season 2 has been great so far. Every episode I'm left saying, "I really like this show." Nothing like it on TV as far as I know.

Also cool to see Ando from Heroes pop up in the last episode.

I haven't started season 2 yet, trying to limit the amount of shows I am watching at one time while letting other shows build up space in the DVR for future binging. Currently working on GOT, Broadchurch, Orphan Black and Turn. Preacher is next up once a couple of those are done.

Glad to hear season 2 is good, loved season 1.

I'm sorry. I was unaware of the journalistic requirement for opening a thread.

You might want to title it something like "TV show Preacher will shock you with this opening moment!"

You really could say that about almost every episode. Especially this season.

Just finished season 2. Very good, but not great is how I would describe it. Seemed to be too one dimensional in that it only focused on Jesse's story. I would've liked to see more about Cassidy. His only storyline was his son. Tulip had a brief storyline with her old husband, but other than that not much.

I really liked how they turned Hitler into a good guy. Not too many shows would have the guts to try that, let alone pull it off.

You mentioned Ando from Heroes showing up in the final episode. I didn't notice that at all, what scene was he in?

He was the guy dealing souls in that big armored truck. Not the final episode. Towards the middle of the season.

Yeah hopefully they can wrap it all up nicely this season after last season was so strong.
