Whereas Trump is perfectly normal.

Trump will change positions on the fly and talk about how great he is and mix in a few insults. Bernie will do a lot of yelling but won't be able to say anything beyond his memorized talking points.

Advantage Trump

Doesn't matter. The "win" is not having Hillary participate. Helps to marginalize her, which actually helps both Bern & Trump.

this whole bernie thing is a waste of time in my opinion... he can cry about superdelegates all he wants... but the bottom line is he's by estimates 2-3 million behind hillary in the overall popular vote thus far through the primaries.

the only way he gets the nomination is if hiliary's email scandal goes nuclear with some type of charge/arrest

He just lost the Washington primary by a large margin after winning the caucus by 50 points 2 months ago. Double the voters showed up for the primary too. Caucuses and the way pledged delegates are allocated kept him in the race.

It would be refreshing to see Bernie debate someone whose rebuttal isn't always just accusations of sexism.

The Caucus system is far more undemocratic than the super delegate system yet Sanders has been noticeably silent on it. If Sanders were 3 million votes ahead, then his super delegate argument would be legit.

Not true. I'm not at all bothered by Elmhurst Steve.

OK.... Very simplistic view,

50% of voters are Independent

Many states make it damn near impossible to vote on voting day if you aren't registered Dem or Rep MONTHS in advance...its voter suppression... If people voted from their phones .Hillary would be buried months ago.

More voters voted this year. Bernie didn't lose many states that had closed primaries. Even if you gave him a 5% bump in each state with a closed primary he is still WAY behind. If you eliminate caucuses he would be even further behind.

Why should independent voters be allowed to vote in democratic or republican primaries? Shouldn't there be an independent candidate for them to vote for? Why should they be allowed to influence primaries if they have no affiliation to said political party?

That is but one other thing that Sanders and his supporters have been wrong about this season.

Is that a serious question?

Why should there be primaries at all? Why not have the political party run whoever they feel like should run?
