i'd be interested to see what Romney might do to clean up Wall Street. If Trump would bring him in to do that task.
Romney started his consulting firm up in Boston, so he's never been beholden to any of the Goldman Sachs et al. Plus mormons have that whole "give back to the community/try not to be a complete amoral dbag" thing going on.

A little like FDR tapping Joe Kennedy--who made the family fortune off of moonshine and insider trading--to be the first head of the SEC. You need someone familiar with the system but not compromised by it to clean it up.

I dunno if that was Obama's thinking bringing in timothy geithner, but he was not a good choice for the job.

If Trump makes his daughter Ivanka his chief of staff, she might be enough of a buffer between her dad and his cabinet to keep Trump from running rough-shod over his appointees.

But ya gotta figure she's going to stay in the private sector, running Trump's various businesses. Plus she's a new mom. So there goes that idea. At least for a few years.

That is quite a ride.

No. On the onset I was Jeb. Jeb promised to be W2 (not of the Nas variety) so I lost interest. If it was Ryan / Sanduval or better yet Huntsman (yes I know he didn't run this time) / Sandoval or somebody else sane I would have voted that over HRC in a second. I think Bernie is great. Bernie won't get the nomination. Nobody sane on the GOP side will. Following?

As a buddy of mine who makes JimmyReardon look like a liberal put it when talking about Jeb "you like those damn moderates". Yes. Yes I do.

Agree with all this. The issue is that the one area where he could do damage (militarily due to the immense power of the Executive branch in that area) could literally cause the destruction of the human race.

So you initially voted for a candidate who wants to reduce the influence of money in politics but are also okay with a candidate who - at this current moment - seeks to influence politics by using his immense wealth as well as the immense wealth of others?

The same amount probably know what oligarchy means. I bet Woolery also says 80% of Sanders supporters don't know that 92% of statistics are made up.

She did all of those things and even mentioned the death of Bobby Kennedy.

Hilary was far worse in 2008. The Kennedy thing was sick. And she was trying to use race against Obama as well. People have short memories.

She ultimately fell in line but she was awful. Even pushed the Muslim and birther stuff.

She got a bad rap on both. Obama got a pass on some of the stuff that he said. The guy praised Reagan. She failed to denounce people that accused Obama of being Muslim. That's not necessarily pushing it.

 What? She did every one of those things, and she might be the most entitled politician I've ever seen. Her behavior this election is essentially "how dare someone challenge my throne". Your bias is blatant and obvious.

Your perceptions are wrong.

You should also respond to the 12 other people who disagreed with you, including a Hillary supporter.

You're thinking of 2012 on the Bill Clinton speech, also. That wasn't 2008.

Nas's support of Hillary is dubious. referring to him as a Hillary supporter is sort of like referring to MC Hammer as the King of Hip Hop. I got my years mixed up.

Really? Wow, you're deep in the cult.

Also, saying you just "got your years mixed up" understates the fact that it was a central point of your last argument, and it wasn't even right. That speaks volumes.

Bad rap is bullshit. Her camp leaked the photo. http://www.politico.com/story/2008/02/o ... oto-008667

She brought up the RFK assassination. She sent out a letter asking super delegates to flip. She sent put out the 3 a.m. commercial. Has Sandersdone anything approaching this?

This is a master spin job. To suggest that what Hillary Clinton did in 08 is close to anything that Sanders is doing now is just plain false. This guy is attempting to discredit the entire process simply because he is losing.

He also is criticizing the entire "establishment" simply because they correctly surmised that he really isn't a Democrat.

Hillary Clinton also had a chance to run against Obama in 12 and declined. Had she decided to run he most certainly would have lost.

She could have divided the party and chose not to.

The 3 A.M. commercial occurred during the course of the campaign. Hillary Clinton remained in the race because she still had a legit chance of winning. Sanders has been done for about 2 months. Obama wasn't exactly above board during the campaign. His wife let it be known that she hated the Clintons. Obama also engaged in attacks against Bill and Hillary Clinton well before any of that stuff occurred. He repeatedly bashed the record of Clinton and praised Reagan for changing the country in a way that CLinton never did. If i revisit that period I could find a number of questionable things that he did as well.

He wasn't President during the 08 primaries. Obama really didn't have to attack Hillary much because the media carried the water for the guy. MSNBC as they are doing now served as his attack dog. The liberal press refused to vette the guy because they were largely anti Hillary. Sanders is cranky as hell yet everyone keeps focusing on Hillary's personality. People that know the guy will tell you that. There is no way in hell that he is more fit to be President than Hillary Clinton.

The same group that lauds Sanders is largely the same group that touted the potential candidacy of Biden. Their reverence for Sanders is largely steeped in Hillary hatred. If it weren't Sanders it would be another phony.

I can't believe that literally everyone who argues with you eventually takes shots at your posting style. Must be some massive conspiracy... or the fact that you just repeat the same bad opinions over and over and present them as fact. Bad.

Nope you are wrong. I am referencing this message board. Most people on here didn't know a damn thing about Sanders two years ago. They are bandwagon jumpers. Its obvious. It is the same group that probably touted Obama 8 years ago because they were steeped in their hatred of the Clintons.

Because it actually is. Don't recall much Warren love this time last year. I can remember a lot of people hoping that the perennial losing Joe Biden would jump into the race. Check the tape or in this case the thread.

As President, I don't think Obama got a pass on anything. (Not sure Dubya did, either, for that matter.)

Bad.

I could bump the thread but its not necessary. You guys get this stuff wrong too much. It is pretty well known that the media didn't really vette Obama. I don't know how that it is a bad opinion. The guy just stated that Obama was vetted after being President. That was never my point. I notice he wasn't called on it either.

There were a large number of people hoping that Biden Jumped in and once he didn't they moved onto Sanders.
