I was thinking of playing the Cubs today. You really think they will lose...cause I'd fade your Mush ass.

For those looking for a Rizzo Rest Day, today is your day .... make your wagers accordingly (please take special note of today's infielders and positions):

Glad they got through the top of the 5th, with more rain certainly possible. Glad to see Grampa Rossy get his 100th HR. Amazing that he just recently got his 500th hit, so approximately 20% of his career hits have been HR's. Soler continues to heat up and Bryant just keeps being Bryant. Philly has a 26-21 record, so thinking this will be an easy sweep might be silly. But I am certainly expecting 2 of 3 and hoping for the sweep.

Kirkwood.....good job listing the starting pitchers and their current stats, rather than just being lazy and posting Cubs VS Phillies and predicting a sweep. I appreciate the effort.

If you are going to do something, put a legitimate effort into it. Your thread was even short of a Clayton Richard/ Travis Wood level. You have embarrassed your family, your neighborhood and your city. Serve your penance and don't let it happen again.

I was looking for the Heyward rest day and happy to get that. Rizzo had to be a little frustrated with the wind blowing out.

Okay.....it was lame. Now we can just move on.... almost as bad as that 3rd pitch by Lester on the 0-2 that should have been strike 3. Just another example of why it's time for an electronic strike zone. But no damage thankfully.

Steve, you once said you wished Jorge Soler had gotten a hit so you could say he smoked a Cuban. You are not a good judge here.

You have the line wrong. I said I wished they had gotten a hit off a Cuban pitcher (not a hitter....Soler) so I could say that the batter just smoked that Cuban.

Lester did a nice job. 6 1/3 just 1 run (with a runner on 2nd). I had hoped he was going to get through 7, then hand it over to Strop and Rondon. Having left in the 3rd inning last time, he should have been fresh enough.

On a wet field, with no chance at a double play, why is Baez trying to field the ball bare handed????
