Joe Biden's a drug-warrior who also sponsored bankruptcy reform very favorable to the banks/cc companies back in his home state of Delaware:

Ain't no hippy dippy libs gonna be down with either of those things.

you sure that was this board? I'm not hyper-vigilant but i tend to check into most politics threads and i can't recall anyone here ever pimping for Smokin Joe Biden.

I've been on the President Elizabeth Warren trail of tears since last year. But mostly this board has been anti-Hillary more than pro anyone on the Democrat side. A few guys here like to troll as pro-Hillary, but I think that's maybe just because they like to piss off her haters.

Nope you are wrong. I am referencing this message board. Most people on here didn't know a damn thing about Sanders two years ago. They are bandwagon jumpers. Its obvious. It is the same group that probably touted Obama 8 years ago because they were steeped in their hatred of the Clintons.

So dumb.

YOU HAD TO HAVE FOLLOWED SOMEONE'S ENTIRE CAREER TO LIKE THEM.

This is the stupidity of your argument in a nutshell. You have been on this message board for the better part of 6-8 months bashing Democrats for failing to vote for a guy that only became a Democrat so that he would garner more votes. There is nothing about Bernie Sanders that suggests that he is nothing more than a decorated talking head, yet you are bewildered because people fail to see his greatness? I am not dumbfounded by the Clintons. Nor am I snowed by them. Like I keep saying I am comfortable with it because I understand exactly who they are. They are politicians thus they will do what politicians do.

I would much rather have that than a guy who promises the world knowing that he won't be able to deliver. You can buy his act and be disappointed later. I am not. That is why I have never been disappointed by Obama, who Sanders eerily reminds me of in some respects. Obama was and is exactly whom I thought he was. So is Sanders.

if Biden had been in the dem primaries, he siphons more votes off of Hillary than Bernie.

President Elizabeth Warren would take over 90% of Bernie's and the majority of Hillary's supporters.

I think HIllary missed her shot in 2008. If the NY Times doesn't sit on the John Edwards love-child story--Nat Enquirer had published it in November 2007, NY Times got confirmation in December 2007, but decided to sit on it until after the initial 2008 primaries---Hillary's finishing up her 2nd term this year.

I think Hillary's health is going to sideline her. Biden could be revived then, but mostly to give the appearance of choice; as the Dems run with President Elizabeth Warren vs Trump. And win. I hope.

As President, I don't think Obama got a pass on anything. (Not sure Dubya did, either, for that matter.)

He wasn't President during the 08 primaries. Obama really didn't have to attack Hillary much because the media carried the water for the guy. MSNBC as they are doing now served as his attack dog. The liberal press refused to vette the guy because they were largely anti Hillary. Sanders is cranky as hell yet everyone keeps focusing on Hillary's personality. People that know the guy will tell you that. There is no way in hell that he is more fit to be President than Hillary Clinton.

The same group that lauds Sanders is largely the same group that touted the potential candidacy of Biden. Their reverence for Sanders is largely steeped in Hillary hatred. If it weren't Sanders it would be another phony.

I can't believe that literally everyone who argues with you eventually takes shots at your posting style. Must be some massive conspiracy... or the fact that you just repeat the same bad opinions over and over and present them as fact. Bad.

I also wonder what new and enlightening information that you have brought to the table during the last 6-8 months. You are the proverbial one-note song. Hillary is terrible, her personality stinks, she is largely unlikable, and oh yeah she is for rich people. Same drab yet you continuously tear into the legend that is LTG talking about repitition. You have to get some new material.

Right, exactly. Hillary is running on four more years (well, let's be real, eight) of what we're used to. The only person who could be more status-quo than Hillary would be Biden.

For whatever it's worth, if the unthinkable happens and Hillary gets indicted or strokes out between now and the convention (or even after), it'll be Biden, not Sanders, who gets the nomination.

I doubt it with Biden. Bernie's support is an anti Hillary vote and I don't think that Biden would have been able to garner similar sentiment.

Hillary's stump speeches somehow negotiate the line between "more of the last 8 years" and delicately pointing out the shortcomings of the Obama administration, esp in the areas of women's rights and women's pay and economic populism issues and "jobs, jobs, jobs". the economic populism thing she sounds almost identical to Bernie but she can't compete with Bernie head to head with those voters, for the most part. which is why folks say there's some overlap btw Bernie and Trump supporters. disaffected economic classes looking for someone to shake things up.

yeah, other than being the sitting VP, Biden's a very flawed Democratic standard-bearer--virulently anti-drug, historically pro big Banks--for the 2016 political climate.

http://www.salon.com/2015/10/21/joe_bid ... biden_run/

he'd be touted and discussed; but at the end of the day, warren's the right native american for the job. should Hillary be forced to step aside.

LTG you're arguing multiple things but you are half right. With the exception of Fox News the media favored Obama even more than Bernie in 2008.

Yes Hillary was closer than Bernie in pledged delegates and had more votes than Obama (IIRC) but she didn't have a chance to win and still kept attacking Obama. She tried to scare voters and was saying "I take him at his word" just like Republicans when it came to his place of birth and religion. She was bitter and did more than Bernie with the exception of attacking the party.

LTG are you suggesting no one on the board has made substantive criticisms of Hillary?

There has been some substantive critiques of her, but most of it has to do with things that don't relate to governing. Also some of the criticisms of her are counterintuitive. For instance her unlikability rating. People keep focusing on that yet she is up by 3 million votes.

The about Wall Street is concerning but my hope is that she won't be in their pockets. Obama was in their pockets and he got elected twice. How bad can really be if that's the case.

I think that Sanders supporters are far too dismissive of his flaws. He has them and his policies are fallacious on a number of fronts.

Fox News Favored Obama over Clinton during the primaries too. They changed their tune once the general came. It wasn't til Jeremiah Wright came along that they began bashing him. Fox News was built on Clinton bashing and Clinton conspiracy theories.

I guess you didn't watch much of the Hannity and Colmes? They were pushing the Rev Wright stuff in 2007. Fox jumped off Obama and onto Hillary in about February of 2008 when they felt he was going to win. I've been arguing that with the exception of a few the media has never favored Hillary.

The Republican press has dogged her for years but what surprised me in 08 was how much the liberal media did also.

Olbermann
Shuster who said that she was pimping Chelsea
Matthews
Shultz all openly favored Obama.
So did Mika Brezinski.

There were valid criticisms of Obama that were never made and they all handled him with kit gloves.

Hannity and Coles began hammering Obama on Wright and Bill Ayers once it became obvious that Obama would be the mominee. They have been hammering Hillary Clinton since the 90's. Hell they even gave Dick Morris his own spot for the purpose of hammering Hillary Clinton. His primary purpose on Fox was to bash the hell out of Hillary and it went on for years.

Gonna do a show called Hannity and Kohl's where Sean Hannity argues with an ill-fitting dragon-festooned polyester button-down.

This is from March of 2007. A year before he gave his race speech.

I remembered that. They got off it quickly then revisited around March of 08. Dick Morris had been repeatedly bashing the hell out of Hillary for years and during the early stages of the campaign Fox wasn't really trashing Obama. They went all in after super Tuesday.

Karl Rove too. I'm not arguing that Fox didn't attack Hillary. We have always agreed on Hillary's treatment by most of the media. I'm arguing that Fox was the only ones that tried to attack Obama. They had Reverend right on the show at least 10 times before Obama gave his Race Speech and the mainstreammedia ignored it.

They were far more favorable towards Obama than they were Hillary. I even remember O'Reilly doing a softball interview with Obama the candidate around that time. I probably should fact check it before the "aha" crowd joins in.

I remember the Wright interviews. Were there 10?

I never said that overall they weren't more favorable to Obama until after Super Tuesday in 2008. I said they were the only ones to go after him. Hannity kept bringing Wright on. I was actually surprised that the mainstream media didn't pick it up.

Bad rap is bullshit. Her camp leaked the photo. http://www.politico.com/story/2008/02/o ... oto-008667

She brought up the RFK assassination. She sent out a letter asking super delegates to flip. She sent put out the 3 a.m. commercial. Has Sandersdone anything approaching this?

Your assertion about her flipping delegates is false. Her letter was to undeclared delegates. Also Hillary Clinton vowed in that same letter to unite behind the party. I couldn't really get to this yesterday and I'd hope that this untruth would have been corrected. The 3 A.M. commercial wasn't controversial. That happens during the normal course of campaigning.

What Sanders is attempting to do is rip apart the entire party. Unfortunately he doesn't have the capital to do so.

There is nothing arrogant about the reply dude. If you notice I didn't reply to your statements. Arrogance I guess. It's the same playbook everytime. Critique the critiquer. It's old at this point. It's not just me either. You do it with about 70% of the people that post would be my guess. Rare is the constructive post. You don't know me I don't care to know you. The incessant psychoanalysis crap is old at this point.

You asked me to answer some question. I actually did without answering you. Once again arrogance I guess. It's a constant game of gotcha. Accept that you're wrong and move on. Whenever you get it wrong it becomes about me. Find a new beat. Don't really care about board members that agree with your babble either that is more reflective of side show Bob relationships that you guys have away from this place than anything. I'm sure that same group would disagree even if I took an alternate position.
Like posting here obviously so I will continue to do so. You can tell the guys that always play little internet games and guys that simply state opinions.
