Great movie. I'm a far bigger fan of Xmen than the Avengers, so my opinion is a little bias.

The main thing that sticks out is the acting. All around from Fassbender and Lawrence, to the new characters.

CGI is quality.

Apocalypse was done justice in this film. Oscar Isaac knows how to own his dialogue, and that strength made his character all the more menacing.

The 'cameo' was very well done, and brutal.

Really appreciate the Quicksilver scenes.

Final battle was very satisfying.

Singer has changed around some character allegiances, but by this point if you're complaining about that you should really get off the purist bandwagon.

The post credits scene sets up the next villain for the X Men.

X Men is my favorite of the comic book movies as well

My concern, voiced previously, was what seemed to be the shoehorning of Mystique into a leadership role ... is this not going to be a problem for the viewer?

Sorry, driving back to ND all day.

I personally don't have a problem with the altered timeline use of Mystique. Lawrence is a good enough actress to make it work. It really is baffling to me when critics are shitting on the 'over use' of Mystique when there are multiple story lines going on throughout the film as prominent or more than her leadership angle.

The 1973 incident is referenced throughout the movie, but it's used to add depth to both Mystique and Magneto.

Maybe the Mystique hate is a byproduct of the Internet and critics starting to turn on Jennifer Lawrence for whatever reason. I don't get the hate for her. Sure, she seems spacy, goofy, and maybe over exposed in real life. To put it in perspective, we live in a country where a large chunk of youth culture deifies the Kardashians when they possess no redeemable talent. Absolutely zero. At least J.Lawrence is an elite actress.

I'm excited to see this. I know its starting to get stale, but I have liked the franchise overall. I thought they did a decent job in the last movie mixing new and old. Good to hear its not a complete fuckup.

Def very satisfying. Sansa is a great Jean Grey. Actually, all the younger cast played their roles very well.

I'm personally getting sick of Marvel/Disney and their hesitancy of killing off heroes. I really liked Civil War, but the jokey, light hearted, take no chances approach is boring me. At least Fox/Marvel will take risks. I respect that.
