Kahnle was so bad at intentional walking two guys Hawk wanted a guy behind the catcher :shock: If other than the catcher a player is lined up in foul territory it's a balk ........stretch :roll:

While KC and Cleveland are listed in a virtual tie for 1st place with the SOX (happy?) the Sox are percentage points behind both teams.

@ESPN:

Royals beat White Sox after trailing 7-1 in bottom of the 9th. Since 2010, teams were 4-2,810 in such situations.

:shock:

I, too, was watching the game and went to the pool with my daughters with the game well in hand and come home to find they blew it.

'27 Yankees couldn't rebound from a loss like that. It's over. It's all over.

Ricky would be better for Sox at this point. Solid guy. Caught in Cubs rebuild crossfire. Better than Robin at every level of running a MLB team.

Latos was supposed to pitch tomorrow's last game of the series, but it will be Sale instead that faces Edison Volquez. I expect Sale will be a bit more effective than his last time out, but whether or not it will be good enough to win, remains to be seen. Usually the Sox are pushing Sale back to get him an extra day off or skipping a start even. Moving him up, seems a bit curious.

South Side desperation move. Slip sliding away. Panic mode.

More good analysis here. Sale ahould be better than 6 runs in 3+ innings. Its a wonder MLB network hasnt hired you yet.

For a while Sale looked like he was just going to keep mowing em down. But maybe he's wearing down? Last year he wore down and was pretty mediocre the last month or so of the season. It was right after his string of 10K's or more in a game streak ended. He fell off significantly. Maybe this year it will be his string of victories being broken that brings a lackluster streak. Or maybe it was just a blip on the radar. I think it is a mistake to move him up ahead of Latos either way. Sale is a guy who has been protected and given extra rest to safeguard him from injury. Now they move him up? What is the message to Latos?....We don't trust you to beat a good team, so we are pushing you back because you have been sucking harder than a Dyson vacuum lately? Wreaks of desperation.

I've never turned on a team so hard in my life. I went from really enjoying them the first month to absolutely hating all of them now. I barely even want to watch, they're all such listless jokes who sit there and feel bad for themselves I cant take it. Sox turned into a bunch of burritos over night.

So Ventura takes out Sale after 6 straight scoreless innings, at 118 pitches, and brings in Nate Jones, who proceeds to get one out then promptly gives up a big fly, a double, and is now 3-1 on a hitter. Ok.
