I don't think that was the case; you could talk shit to BigFan like you could to anyone else here. I think the problem happened when he responded and embarrassed someone and then the other party would get butthurt; and then instead of leaving that beef in that thread, the butthurt poster would carry it on all over the board; and then try to blow up their little argument over whatever into some huge board issue, like a bitchy girl holding a grudge. And that constant grudge-posting would detract from the board experience for everybody. imo, ymmv, yadda.

there were very few posters more sensitive than bigfan.

Based on my exchanges with him over the years discussing his dealings with many butthurt posters here complaining about their treatment at the hands of others here, I don't think that's the case. BigFan had a long rope, some just couldn't help themselves and had to find the end.

Well, your exchanges or your perceptions were wrong.

 a few?

But you are correct, Moderator BigFan had a big heart and a long length of rope he would five posters that earned it. Too many times little tiny tits would get all bent outta shape, yip-yap and not take the hint. Shortly after they exhausted his good will and love they would find themselves banished to The Negative Zone. Often, because of his big heart, they would be let back in and sometimes they would shit all over and get a newspaper to the snout.

I remember when Leash was banned a long time ago....he was let back in and then went scorched earth and was banned again. Now, I can totally respect that, but it happened. And he was a naughty boy but he had internet balls to talk shit knowing he was gonna get punted back to the Negative Zone.

Now, where was I....oh yeah, I woman is like a fridge, tall, Square shaped and full of beer.

serious? what the duck, people. It's an internet message board, not 3rd grade.

I think the only times I interacted with BigFan off board were to paypal a few shekels for his "CSFMB will donate to Bernstein's charity if he can go an entire show without mentioning his kid" gambit. which surprisingly worked, iirc. and maybe some other donation type things. but that was just sending paypal funds, no messages. i don't think i bothered with collecting a shirt or whatever for the time i won the NFL contest.

People would legit send messages complaining about other posters? huh, I'm gonna try this,

ATTN: NAS, JORR, Seacrest,
CC: TheManagement

Still tho, the biggest elephant in the room is that Obama did not apologize for bombing Hiroshima.

leash got banned for 11 months for saying, "Thirded. Totally overboard." That's not an opinion. So yeah, you are wrong here.

I would say, his first step would be to apologize for his work in killing innocent civilians with drone strikes. Then, he can apologize for Truman's work with nukes. Truman killed more with two large decisions in the span of a few days. Obama has killed fewer with many small decisions over a long period of time. I'm not sure what that says about each man. I'll leave that to others to decide.

Obama didn't apologize for the US bombing of Hiroshima.

He didn't apologize, but he did pay his respect to the thousands of children and adults who were vaporized in seconds by an atomic bomb. What a pussy.

Hey man, think just for one second if Truman did not use those bombs. How different this world would be. At least 250,000 morse dead American servicemen and that is the low estimate. Plus how many more maimed and crippled. How many more Japanese lives lost. Add to the fact use usingthat bombs had one huge side effect most people try to ignore. It scared the fuck out of the Russians. Think of a world where all of Europe was under the Red Banner of Revolution.

Bullshit. Japan was already defeated. We didn't need to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese to send the Ruskies a message. It was the most costly message ever sent.

The Japanese weren't defeated, Reason and they weren't going to surrender. Dropping the bombs ended the war and saved a exponential amount of lives on both sides. It also allowed for the preservation of what was left of the infrastructure so rebuilding could quickly commence.

If the bombs aren't dropped then the entire nation of Japan, all the islands, would have been completely firebombed into ash and if that wasn't enough an invasion takes place. That invasion may have included the Soviets ....would Communism be alright? That outcome would have been far more barbaric than Fat Man and Little Boy.

Japan was finished. It was essentially a walled city state under siege at that point. They were contained. I realize we, as a nation, were tired of war and wanted a quick end but Japan wouldn't have lasted more than a few weeks with no more action from us. The leaders and the population were ready to give up, despite what we've been taught.

There's no doubt about that. The fledgling Military Industrial Complex was all for it. The Cold War was on.

They were finished except they were still fighting on all fronts. They had fought to almost the last man in every battle in the Pacific, they showed more than enough for leadership to come to the correct conclusion. Unconditional surrender was the goal, no more God Emperor.

Drop the bombs and you end the war. So they dropped the bombs and ended the war. Checking the Soviets was an offshoot but not the goal.

They were fighting on all fronts like the Jap soldier found on an island decades after the war ended was fighting. It was over and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians wasn't needed to end the war. If we wanted to send a message to the Ruskies, blow up the Russian artic.

We where hog tied by one little utterance:unconditional surrender. If that drunk ass Churchill would not have said it we could have let the Japanese off a little lighter, unfortunately their mindset could not accept surrender. So you are okay with millions more slowly starving to death? Ready to surrender? Are you insane? There was a last minute attempt on the emperor by members of the military to try and stop him from making the surrender speech(Kyūjō incident). If it was not for the shock of those two bombs we would have had to invade.

Why would we have to invade? They had nowhere to go and coukd get nothing in.
Their surrender was inevitable.

We where hog tied by one little utterance:unconditional surrender. Keep in mind that chas is a military historian.
