It's impressive but I agree it shows that he can't seal the deal. I've heard the argument that the Bills making 4 straight Super Bowls is as, and even more impressive than winning just one Super Bowl. NOPE.

Impressive as hell in the NFL. As a fan I'd rather take one ring but as a front office I know I'm damn good if my team made for straight super bowls.

Perhaps. Afterall, Bill Polian was already at legend status for building a team that got there that many times. He didn't even need to win one with the Colts. It's different for a player though.

No. Eastern Conf. Has been garbage during his much of his run. He hasn't had to beat any great teams during his run to the finals. The best team that he has had to beat is the 62 win Bull team under Thibs.

If anyone remembers before LeBron went to the Heat he couldn't get back to the Finals with the Cavs. He lost twice to the Celtics and once to the Magic when his team was a top 2 team in the East.

The NBA notoriously over-markets superstars, because that is how they market their sport. LeBron was calling himself a king years before he won a championship. But he didn't have the killer instinct that Kobe Bryant had. That's why he hasn't won in the Finals more.

The excessive flopping, whining at the officials and getting his coach fired doesn't speak to his legacy as a great player. If you put Michael Jordan in LeBron's body he would won the title every time he made the Finals.

It would mean more to me if he did it all with the cavs. Once leaving through free agency it takes away from it as he was basically moving from stacked team to another. Plus after a few years in a salary cap team, he didn't have to deal with the fall out of cap decisions and players regressing.

Leaving the cavs with nothing and allowing them to stock up top tier talent still just makes him a hired gun coming back.

Agreed and that Bulls team was a year away.

Call it TWTW, desire, heart, etc....its about winning at any cost. Lebron never had that. He is a great pure talent. Maybe the best pure talent ever, but when it was time to be the best on the floor and LEAD his team to a W he didnt do it, he didnt have it, he didnt want it to be him.

Jordan is my all time of all times in any sport, but the guy is a huge fucking spoiled brat, he gets what he wants and thats it. Calling him a spoiled brat isnt exactly what one called the greatest pro athlete in existance, but its what fueled the guy to everything he has. Call it what you want, LeJames does not have it. He shows spurts of it, half of that is for the camera, but he just doesnt have it.

LeBron had gotten better. Durant is the guy who should be getting heat at this point. He hasn't improved in 3 or 4 years.

I think Durant will after this series especially if they lose tonight. If he doesn't play well tonight the perception of him is going to change. Westbrook looks like the better player now. He took a lot of heat over yrs as a guy that iced Durant out. Some of it was fair criticism, but a lot was unfair.

He had the killer instinct that Durant lacks. Now his game has caught up to it.

I agree. I've always liked Westbrook. Goes back to his UCLA days. I remember when Collison got hurt and they had Westbrook replace him. You could see the athletic ability but his game was raw as hell. Then I started looking at mock drafts and they had him in the top 5. This was in season too. He was always a fierce competitor. Remember how he checked Wade during the finals even though Wade was a 2. Meanwhile Durant and James were ducking one another though they are both 3's.

Y'all people are drunk or high. Give me that list of players to get to the Finals six STRAIGHT times. I will spot you the Bill Russell Celtics . Feel free to use some historical perspective on what LeBron is accomplishing.

The Jordan Bulls were great TEAMS, LeBron was not the reason his teams lost the Finals in '07, '11, '14, and ,'15. Look at the teams he lost to. The Duncan Spurs twice, Mavs with Dirk and a crazy deep team, and the Warriors last year.

Please sip what you are drinking and mix in a glass of water. Clearly dehydration has some not thinking rationally.

Jordan's Bulls.

Duncan/Pop's streak with the Spurs is 2nd to Jordan's Bulls since the 80's Lakers-Celts.

Kobe's 5 rings next.

LeBron ahead of D-Wade, if he wins this year.

LeBron maybe already ahead of D-Wade.

D-Wade's 3 rings.

Pistons of the '00's or whatever that fucking decade is called had an impressive "almost winning" run, along with an unexpected title.

You do realize that during the Celtics run there was between 8 and 10 teams in the NBA. So it's not nearly the great feat you're making it out to be.

None of the teams with exception of the Bulls, would be in the Top 5 in the Western Conf.

2011 was absolutely his fault. If he plays at 80% of his potential that series the Heat win.

6 straight Finals appearances is a big deal. It's impressive. 6-0 in the NBA Finals is a lot more impressive though.

Lebron is a great talent..NO doubt, he's slightly ahead of Kobe and has creeped into the top 12 all time on my list.. But ask yourself this...how many conference championship does he have and rings if you took his cavs or heat teams and moved em into the west??? One ring and 1 conference championship ...2 @ most...

If LeBron can beat this Warriors team it will be a defining moment for his career. It will earn him more cred than the 2 titles he currently has combined.

No. Championships matter. Not second places.

He had a pretty easy road to the finals spending his career in the weak ass East the last 12 years..

There's a lot of turnover in baseball and it's not possible for one player to exert as much influence on the outcome of a game or season as much as a player can in the NBA. That's why I think six straight Finals appearances is a significant accomplishment for LBJ; he's been the common denominator for all six.
