Meanwhile if you were on bigfan's "bad side", you could see many of your posts disappear simply because he didn't like you and/or didn't agree with your opinion. He also edited many posts here that were not his own.

Ultimately it was his board and he could do what he wanted. That said, myself and others had just as much of a right to call him out on his bullshit.

You say something once or twice and people are on your side but at some point it is overkill. You either make peace with the situation or disengage.

For what it's worth (not much) I never had much of a problem with how he operated this place. In the immortal words of Chet Coppock "his dime his dancefloor". I think that some people here believed that they were somehow speaking truth to power with some of their arguments but it was ill placed. If you don't like the guy or the way he ran things then don't post. If he unfairly treats people on here and it offends then don't post.

I think there is some truth in there, but that's really a testament to how well bigfan ran the place. People came to see it as "theirs" not "his". And really, if you're going to operate a forum like this, isn't that what you want?
