I guess I'm too old for the bleachers. 100 and up? Screw that. I'll take 1st row upper deck LF line over that.

matt, when i bought them in march they were:

8/18 - $45 per all-in
8/19 - $60 per all-in

which indicates bleacher have exploded back into popularity and cubs have recognized this by soaking the suckers.

when bleachers are the same cost as infield upper deck box tickets i'll call that a premium.

You used that word in multiple posts.
I'm pretty sure it was your whole point. It was just a bad one.

spanky, i have tickets for bleachers for cubs/cards 8/18 and 8/19.

on stubhub which is a reprentation of what the market is willing to pay the lowest:
8/18 - $115
8/19 - $140

the people selling the 8/18 aren't gouging either. i checked the prices for 8/18 ten days ago on cubs.com and they were $89.00 face or $108.86 after fees.

that's a premium price for many. not all of us are mr. moneybags.

You can ask whatever you like, doesn't mean value until someone buys it @ said price. I've got a few buddies with season tix for the cell..they ask face, never get it..usually half that.

That's not premium seating.
That's "the whole damn stadium is way more expensive" and I don't want to pay that.

I believe you, 312, but when I go on Stubhub, I never see any lower-deck seats selling for less than face value--even two hours before a game. Annoying.

I once got 1st row behind visitors dugout for a crappy May weather game versus the Tribe for $40. But that was 2 years ago. I wonder if Sox order Stubhub to never allow listings below face.

Cubs have the lameass Stubhub shuts down 6 hours before first pitch. So stupid.

@312, I bought Cubs/Cards for Saturday in August bleachers...$115 with all taxes included. Game is sold out. The market is there.

I'd sell my tix ASAP if i wasn't going with some buddies.

face price for a bleacher ticket is $100? That's crazy.

Nah...the bleachers are a better ticket than they used to be...with the refurbishments.

Besides, the Cubs win 75% of their home games. $100 to enjoy some winning Cubs baseball with 41,500 of my closest friends? No problem.

man how things change. $6 to watch the cubs lose. now you can't pay any amount of money for that.

if you want to really talk old school back in 1966...when I was just out of grade school I would ride my bike to the Skokie Swift and had $2 from mom... the bleachers were 50 cents and the Swift was a quarter... Ray's (now Murphy's) sold hot dogs and soda thru a window since kids weren't allowed inside 75 cents covered the food and drink ... scorecard was 10 cents.... I'd get home after a stop at the Menard and Dempster Pharmacy and spent the change on 5 cent packs of Topps cards.

BY the time was done at Loyola the bleachers sky rocketed to a buck.....
