Try a water and hold the scotch tonite. Seriously, you aren't Mickey Mantle so you are not getting a second liver.

Cooked a pork roast on the charcoal last night...asparagus on the gas grill

Homemade Au Gratin potatoes on the side...good stuff.

Besides some chicken breasts, steaks and hot dogs, Saturday night, I had 20 hot wings from Cluckers left over. One of the problems with Cluckers' wings is they slather them in too much sauce and wrap them in foil. I took the precooked, refrigerated wings and spread them around on the hot grill for a few minutes each side...It burned off the excess sauce and gave them a little crispy smokey thing...They were incredible.

Butterflied boneless pork chops. I brined them for a couple hours before I grilled them. Glorious.

For Mother's Day, I picked up NY Strips for my wife and I. The butcher has meat ends for $7.49, which are basically the last small piece cut from the slab (Ribeyes and Strips), that they can't in good conscience sell for regular price.

I have two end pieces of NY Strip (3/4 lb. total) that I will be using to make shish-ka-bobs with zucchini, Baby Portabella mushrooms, red bell peppers, onions, and large cherry tomatoes. #Glorious

Sounds terrific. What, if any, kind of marinade do you use for that?

The steaks were ribeyes, not strips. I just add salt and pepper, and a little bit of Worcestershire sauce to the steaks, which I cooked whole, rather than cubing them, and skewering them. As they rested, I put a pad of garlic butter on top of the steaks.

For the veggies, I drizzled olive oil over them, and added salt and pepper. When they finished cooking, I poured a little Worcestershire sauce on them.

I came home a little late on Friday to a pot of boiled brats sitting on the stove top. I immediately said "fuck this noise" and got into a mini argument which I helped to dissipate by throwing those things on the grill for a few minutes. How dare she!

Skirt steak. I used Tall Midget's marinade.

I got some New York strips, but looks like we may only have half a household so that might push to tomorrow.

I did pick up some limes though so I can make a Moscow Mule later so it isn't all bad.

Bacon dripping over hot dogs and Italian sausage.

Then bring the bacon down on the direct fire to char.

I recommend.
