Bye Clayton. DFA tomorrow. Got more out of him than they ever thought possible though.

Clayton is awful. Faces 3 lefties, and all 3 get hits. More proof this team needs a power lefty in the bullpen. Wood and Clayton throwing that soft shit won't cut it. Home plate ump was bad, helping drive up the pitch count. I guess Jake gets a little pass for the 4 walks, but he has been walking too many lately. Lots of bad at bats tonight: Rizzo, Zobrist, and Russell to name a few.

Cubs just had 1 hit, so hard to think it was a game they should have taken. Jake did well to keep them scoreless through 7. Seeing Clayton Richard go into the game gave me the feeling Joe didn't place much value on this game. But can't use Strop and Rondon every day I suppose. They need to upgrade Richard's spot on the roster. I wish they had kept Neil Ramirez and waived Clayton Richard instead. Hope they can start a new win streak tomorrow with Lester going.

I thought the same thing! (That Arrieta intentionally loaded the bases to force the Dodgers to pinch hit for Kazmir.)

As for Vin, what a class act. Not only did he have a better voice and sense of timing than 99% of the stretch singers, but he also said "Root, root, root for the Cubbies" -- when every other time I've seen an "enemy" (Uecker, Lasorda, etc.) sing it, they change it to their team.

I'd be pissed if I were a Dodgers fan. Go ahead and say your team's name. It's fine.

That's it.

It's fine. A segment of Cubs fans get so asshurt over a burrito song.

Check yourself before you wreck yourself. "Go Cubs Go" is burrito but "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" is a classic.

I love a good pitchers duel. Not much but hard after that home run.

Nice win.
