watching Baez walk in from second had my sides splitting.

Lackey was very good again, now has his ERA at 2.88 with a 6-2 record. Baez with a big double is swinging the bat better again. Strop with another good outing.....not much not to like, besides the bats napping a bit longer than ideal.

Hammel against Edwin Escobar today. Escobar has an ERA of 18.90 based on his only start against Houston, where he went just 3 1/3 innings and surrendered 10 hits 2 hit batters and a walk that resulted in 7 earned runs scoring against him. His WHIP is 3.30. Escobar had 2 innings with Boston in 2014 and that, combined with his 3 1/3 this season, comprises his big league experience.
