It was a bad loss tonight. Richard needs to be DFA already. Another shit outing from him, giving up hits to lefties again. The Heyward at bat in the 8th was awful, swing at the frst 2 pitches. Kris Bryants at bats were HORRIBLE. Was swinging at shit all night, and then took hittable fastballs and breaking balls.

Bryant I can forgive as his body of work this season is outstanding.
I cannot abide that Heyward gidp in the 8th. Dude ain't getting it done and he's been weird on occasion on defense. Willing to give him a bit more time but golly he's terrible so far.

I don't know why Madden refuses to move Heyward out of the #2 hole. His double play ground ball killed another rally. Also, the need for a lefty specialist is acute and Richard is not an acceptable choice for that role. Looking forward to seeing Almora tomorrow hopefully. They may well start Fowler in CF, because he's been there all year and done a good job, but Almora is the better Cf'er and an outfield with Fowler in LF, Almora in CF and Heyward in RF, would be about as good as it gets defensively.
