Nas remembers playing at Ogden Park... sticks and a whiffle ball....batting out of order... not stepping on the base to avoid injury since the base was just a staked down Piggly Wiggly bag.

Another great start by Lackey. 7 shutout innings to go to 7-2 with an ERA creeping down to 2.63 now. Bryant is looking more and more like an MVP candidate. Besides his hitting, his stellar play at the many positions he has played, makes him even more valuable to his team. great to see Baez get his first 4 hit day. Quite frankly, if Baez wasn't so valuable filling in at SS, 3B, 2B, even 1st base a couple times.....I would be conflicted as to whether or not he should be the full time SS rather than Russell. I know, Russell is steadier. But Baez has the better arm and more pop at bat. Hitting for a higher average too. but Baez is filling a nice role backing up at so many spots.
