Stop by and say HI!, Matt. I'll be the guy out in his field listening to Chicago sports radio...

I'll PM you for the address when it gets closer. Are you on the outskirts or in town?

Rend Lake is awesome. You should take a day to hit Crab Orchard for lunker bass while you're down there.

I've been to Rend quite a few times. My first cast ever there, I caught a gar on a plastic worm. I thought it was a mutant pike. I knew Rend was an all time favorite after that. Never heard of crab Orchard, but Ill take a look.

I've heard Crab Orchard called the best bass lake in the Midwest.

The last time I fished Rend Lake was with my friend Jeff. Jeff is a fucking Eagle Scout. He can tie any knot ever invented. He could survive in the wild. He takes fishing very seriously. He knows a lot about lure theories, when to use what, etc. I don't know shit. My knots are sloppy. I prefer fishing live bait, mostly minnows. Anyway, we're out on Rend Lake and he starts chiding me, "You fish like my dad." I asked what he meant by that. "You know, you throw a couple casts, then stop and crack a beer, cast a couple more times, then cut up the salami and cheese and grab another beer." I said, "Yeah, motherfucker, that's fishing." Then he got really mad when I kept hauling them in and he wasn't getting any bites. It's better to be lucky than good. I am the Aaron Sele of sport fishing.

Also, make sure you hit one of the awesome strip clubs on Route 51. I recommend JB's and Gallery.

Reading this post just gave me a great idea for a business, which would combine fishing and a strip club. Thanks JORR!

I'm going to New Orleans, the Twin Cities, and I've been meaning to check out this trippy light exhibit down at the Garfield Park Conservatory.

We will be all over but staying around Pasadena. Zumba and Malibu I like. Just gonna roll the dice as we go frequently.

I have a couple friends who are Real. Smart. Lawyers. who live down there and it's a fun place to visit. I had an interview at one of the cal state schools but the cost of living vs. salary had me turn it down.

Yeah, I have a friend who is a full professor at Sonoma--which is obviously a beautiful place to be--but most of the humanities faculty there are just squeaking by.

Four nights, I want to say? Probably not long enough. And besides, it's me, I can't get into any good trouble.

I stayed 5 days/4 nights in March. I ran out of things to do. I felt there weren't cultural activities enough in New Orleans proper other than eat/drink/gamble. And that stuff added up even though we weren't drunken sailors like those damn conventioneers.

You could go to hear really good live music every night.

One day in the garden district.

One day in the French Quarter.

One day in the surrounding swamps and plantations

You could fill five nights. I think four is the correct number

Going to Barcelona with our exchange student Pepe. Then he is going to World Youth Day in Krakow. And then he is going to spend 10 days in the Pyrenees.
