Quite possibly the most silly NBA thing you ever posted.

Regardless of how the series turns out it is painfully obvious by now that this was not a silly post. Irrefutable at this point.

Irrefutable? Holy shit... gimme some of that good sticky, LTG.

You've got to watch the games and not cling to commonly held narratives. Either that or not just lockstep agree with FF. It is obvious after 5 games that his skill set is better.

You are not the only person who watches basketball. And if you think I just agree with FF, you should do some more reading.

You're clinging to the words "skill set", and I find it to be disingenuous. It's a way for you to back out and say you never said he was better... you just said he had a better "skill set." Well, I don't care about skill sets when one of the two just had the most dominant offensive season in NBA history with the best team record in NBA history while the other isn't even the best player on his team.

Curry may not be the best on his own team either. I actually do think Irving is better and I definitively stated before the series that I thought Irving would outplay him. I didn't waver either. He has.

As far as FF goes I noticed that Kirkwood just stated exactly the same thing which means it must have legs. Whatever disagreement you may have is not aired out on here. This may be a case for Marvin Miller.

Irving has 18 in the first half tonight. Curry is once again depending on Kay to save his overrated ass.

It is a silly post. It's easy to refute, and has been refuted by every poster that responded to it. I can post all the stats to prove it, but then you will argue with those and say the eye test is more important, except we are all watching the games and the eye test shows the same thing the stats do - Curry is better.

So you think 5 games is more representative than 4+ seasons? That's not smart.

The statistics for their career are close. When they played on the same team Coach K thought that Irving was better also. The way you settle this is head to head. Head to head he destroyed him and they removed Curry.

As far as posters disagreeing that is par for the course and that doesn't make their points valid. It's clear that opinions depend on the poster and not the validity of what they have to say.

I think something like tennis is more your style, ltg. basketball is and always will be a team game. Curry is better than Kyrie in every possible way in a team game, and has proven that over a sustained period of time. There's a reason nobody, anywhere, except us, is even having this debate. Silly is the perfect possible word to describe it.

Wait, are you actually suggesting that it's silly to try to employ a nebulous and entirely subjective phrase like "offensive skill-set" as an 'irrefutable' source to indicate how a given player is objectively better than another?

The debate about who was better ended once he outplayed Curry. Once that happened then and only then did it become a team game. Way to move the goal post chief. Or is it moving the turnbuckle Alas George the Animal Steele.

Irving according to Mike Breen is currently putting on a clinic.

I think that would be a more acerbic way of saying what I am saying, yes.

I've never moved any goalposts or changed any argument. Curry is better than Kyrie. There's no counter argument. Kyrie is a really good player, so yes on occasion he has the ability to outplay Curry. One game or one series doesn't mean anything. Let Kyrie take over the entire league for 2 straight years and win back to back MVPs and NBA championships and then let's revisit this.

Kyrie Irving is 4 yrs younger. I don't think that he will win 2 championships by the time he is 28. I called this one early as far as Curry goes. 2nd series straight. Not even the most valuable guy on his own team.

LTG makes point, tries to provide concrete support for his claims; applies logic and reasoning in a readily followable / also readily attackable manner.

FF retorts "this is how it is; you're wrong; i'm right and everyone agrees with me and thinks your mom dresses you funny"

Aristotle would have to generate an entire another chapter to describe FF's debate style. It's funny to watch. Sucks to be in a debate with FF. Cuz no matter what, he Trumps it up like he's #winning. Like SomeGuy's hero once noted, it doesn't matter whether you win or lose, but how good you look while being led out of the back of the hotel in handcuffs.

i think the jury's still out on Kyrie's career; I'd take Curry of the last 2 seasons and his shooting prowess over any other player in the history of the game--cept MJ.

Steph Curry of 2014/2015/2016 = indefensible. Nothing kills a teams TWTW like being on a run and having Curry jack one up just across half court and deflate whatever momentum you thought you had going.

Expansion draft this off-season? It'd be a closer call.

LeBron and Irving are trying to single handidly win this game. That is what great players are supposed to do. I think they will run out of gas in the 4th, but they are as they used to say "hoopin"

LeBron should play like this more often. Love is useless.

Even the debate about Curry's nonexistent defense being better has been shot down.

"offensive brilliance" van gundy on Kyrie's drive, turn, fade-away shoot and score on Bogut.

This is against a great defender. Much respect to Klay Thompson. He competes.

Remember it's silly to compare him to Steph Curry though. Absolutely Silly. No one but me thinks that. Yeah right.

As long as Lebron doesn't keep thinking he's an outside shooter and Kyrie keeps getting touches early on the offensive end, Cavs have this game.
