Looked like a good pitch to me and with 2 strikes, he should be in protect mode there.

Glad Warren has not been used yet. At least he is capable of going multiple innings. This game may go a while....But it's been a great game, so long as they win, it's all good.

Oh well, great series. Swept them at home and would have taken this series if not for a couple of blown calls on 3rd strikes to Harper that Davidson called balls instead. See you in October Washington.

Perhaps this will be the catalyst that brings about the necessary change(s).

Do we trade Fowler or extend him another qualifying offer so as to recoup the draft pick?

Decisions, decisions to make.

That will happen. Curious to see how soon and how many changes will take place. Will Joe Nathan be a part of it?

Vogelbach and Richard for Miller and Betances or Chapman.

Get it done Theo.

I think it may have been part of the deal with Fowler, that the Cubs agreed they would NOT extend a qualifying offer, if he signed for this year.

I'm sure they see what we see. I think Nathan is 2016 speak for Rafael Soriano unfortunately.

We do need another lefty out there.

It really was. It's nice to have a comfortable lead, where a loss like this one is not devastating. On to the next series at home on Friday VS Pittsburgh.

That'd be a steal for the pinstripers.

I've never said a kind word about that buster Cahill, poor control.. I was surprised he made the roster this year..this is only one series without our two best starters but I'm glad it happened..this team is close but we need Miller or Chapman now..they could very possibly be the difference between a WS or not.. Warren and Cahill suck, glad that we gave Castro up for absolutely nothing..smh...
