Anybody doing anything special? I am having my pops over on Saturday and I'll be grilling some hotdogs and brats. Will probably treat him to 9 holes of golf tonite. *edit- We're playing Ravisloe at 3pm today, $30 on golfnow!



An aside, I know Nas will back me up on this, this is Father's Day. Not every Dad is great, but not every Dad is a deadbeat either. This is not 'Single Mom's Day.'

My Son's out of town and I told my daughter to stay home because her husband has to work. She lives downtown and I didn't want her to take a train in by herself.

So it's just my wife & I.

The cub scouts plan a camping trip every year over Father's Day Weekend. On one level it is great to get out there with my boys. On another level, the women of the neighborhood essentially get an entire weekend to themselves and have zero pressure to prepare anything special for the day as the men get back later in the day and tired.

If I told my wife on Mother's Day that "you aren't my mother" and left the celebration up to the kids, I'd be in some hot water. That's essentially the level of care I get on Father's Day.

I'll see the old man tomorrow at my step-sisters house for some grilling. Sunday, the Mrs, kids, and our friends or going to sit on a boat on the Petite Lake Sandbar.

Every day I feel more thankful that my crazy old man is still here, 10 min away, and lives for publicly trying to humiliate on FB. He's aged very gracefully. Wish I could say the same about Mom.

I saw my dad last weekend when he was up so I will be golfing in the mornings. Having my old college roommate and wife over on Saturday for dinner and
to hang out. He has done some solid electrical work at my house and I owe him one. Probably watch some US Open golf in the down times.
