Seems that he just throws the same pitch four straight times because he is trying to prove something. Maybe I'm just crazy.

I do. What was going on that they couldn't do their national game during the gay?

I thought Tom Tunney was supposed to prevent Friday/Saturday night games as part of his being up the Cubs' butt.

I'm assuming first sentence was a typo. But this weekend is Pride Fest. Maybe too much with going on during the day? Idk.

The inning where the Pirates had the bases loaded with nobody out and then Lester got out of it unscathed, was the turning point in the game. He was fortunate to be able to face a weak hitting catcher and the pitcher and strike them both out before getting the last out from Murcer. But he got out of it nonetheless. Not a thrilling game, but a win. The bomb by Bryant was pretty cool.

More hard hitting analysis from captain obvious.

What is the average BAC in Wrigleyville tonight?

What I don't understand, is why the Pirates didn't send up a pinch hitter for Kratz there? He was hitting just .200 and they could have sent up a better hitter and put Stewart behind the dish afterwards.

KD is only interested in beating a dead horse.

I still can't believe that by Wednesday, its possible that the Cubs will have a 15.5 game lead on the Cardinals and 18 game lead on the Pirates.

I'm hoping the Cubs can score more than a run or two for Hendricks tonight. He has had the least support from the offense of all the starters. Crazy that a guy with a 3.05 ERA should be 4-6. He's like the Quintana of the Cubs. The Pirates rookie Jameson Taillon, has had just 2 starts going into this game. Both of them were against the Mets. he went 6 innings in his first start, giving up 3 runs and getting a no-decision. In his last start, he went 8 shutout innings and gave up just 2 hits and just 1 walk. He was the 2nd overall pick in the 2010 MLB draft. Kinda hoping the bright lights of a Sunday night nationally broadcast, facing the team with the best record in Baseball will get to him a bit. He's a righty and throws hard (95-96) but I see both as positives. The Cubs hit right handed hitters better and seem to favor hard throwers. Maybe Contreras gets the start behind the plate tonight? I hope so. Seems like a good spot for him to get his feet wet.

You bring up hoping the bright lights of a Sunday night nationally televised game rattles one of the top prospects in MLB since he was drafted...after having already made two successful starts...yet you're okay with Willson Contreras, a recent "out of nowhere" prospect, getting his first start and first major league at-bats during that same Sunday Night Baseball game?

Well thought out.

Did this dizzy bitch just call the approach to Montero an example of "classic Taillon"?

Dammit ... too many pitches to only have 1 run out of it.

The broad just said he was settling in, then a moment later agreed that if Montero got a hit that they'd need to get someone up in the pen.

No, she's a fucking gem in the booth; my bad.

She should just go broadcast golf for Fox. It would be a seamless transition.
