I would also add that Ali's beliefs never wavered, while the pedophile Nugent is a foaming at the mouth chickenhawk, when somebody makes the mistake of putting a microphone in front of him. He didn't want to go to war, but he thinks other people's kids should go fight brown people.

Brown people in this context are nothing more than 'dog whistles'.

You know about 'dog whistles', right ChusaRoo?

What dog whistles? Are you familiar with Nugent's rhetoric?

That is funny coming from the guy who turned the thread about Nugent's poor concert attendance into Ali, and then Reagan.

Does any of that make my points less relevant?

Please explain how it does. You have all the answers. Please give them to me and the rest of the class.

Do better.

I think I did enough. The ball is in your court.

I doubt you can do better. I like you, regardless.

I agree with Reason in the sense that it seems odd to mock a draft dodger, regardless of how hypocritical their actions are or seem. Draft dodger as a phrase should bring the same moral outrage as fugitive slave does.

But considering how hypocritical his stance has been in particular, I also don't see why anyone would bother trying to defend him. Fuck Ted Nugent.

That's why I said go ahead and attempt. I knew it was something you were not going to be able to do. Nothing I said is hypocritical. Relax, old man.

You're about as sharp as a marble.

I'll just clear this up for you since you are confused. I said you were right for defending Ted's dodging of the Vietnam War. In the second part, I said I don't know why anyone would defend him. That just means he's an asshole, based on years of public comments from him. I never said you were wrong for defending him.

Again, nothing was hypocritical about what I said. You might want to find an easier target to play these games with.

Such as? When you brought up the non-sequitir of Ali's support of Reagan? When you told Leash he was stupid? When you accused me of using dog whistles, even though I backed up my claim about brown people?

This thread was like an Adam Dunn golden sombrero for you. Grab some bench. Tomorrow is a new day. This too shall pass.

Having a hard time believing that...just 24 years ago, nearly 500 people descended upon the cultural mecca that is Urbana, Illinois, to see the Damn Yankees.
