I think some of us (Leash, FF, Youe, Me, Them, Everybody, Everybody.) saw his true colors months and years ago. And we continued to see them time and time again for no apparent reason, hence the "his time of the month" meme.

Now everybody has seen his true colors, and its clearly not good for him. I'm certainly not looking for a pat on the back, but I do feel like I was on the right side of things all along. And that is kind of a cool feeling.

You know, we can joke about that "good guy in real life" stuff, but I really do think he's a good guy. I think he was just way more emotionally connected to this board than he thought he was. It's caused him to do some things that I really think are unlike him.

At some point it seems he started to believe he is the board. Now maybe that will prove to be correct and his new venture will have a million users and this site will fade away. But I doubt that. In any case, I know Nas, Seacrest, and I all believe that the board is you guys that post on it.

I never really understood his beef with you. It seems to me there are many guys who fucked with him way more than you ever did. I always just thought he didn't like it when you goofed around in his contest threads. It seems like kind of a silly thing for him to hate you so much over though.

I was in Vegas last week, and they have all sorts of characters in suits up and down the strip. I saw one of them take off the Sponge Bob suit, and it was an old, tiny Hispanic lady. Quite the contrast from the big eyed, smiling, bright yellow figure that is Bob.

The biggest problem was that bigfan not only disliked someone, but expected you to also dislike them, and to accept that they would be gone for a long time if not forever. I tried to reason with him when there were strong discussions about creating a new board by basically saying "There are a lot of people that like the people you banned, and they want to interact with them, so eventually a decision has to be made to create a place where that is possible. We all want to stay and hang out and post here but that doesn't seem like an option". He basically took it as us trying to "force" him to do something he didn't want to do and then basically said "You'll be banned if you do it".

I think this was easily confirmed when he would rather have seen the board destroyed because some of those people were back.

He did some out of character stuff at the end because of emotional attachment. And in our last conversation, he took ownership of his stoking the fire and what ensued afterwards.

The biggest problem is that bigfan is clearly mentally unstable with certain things (i.e. McNuggets, other boards/COC, breakfast, contests, Douchebag, Chuse, etc) Whether he is "a good guy IRL" or emotional or not is a moot point. The behaviors he exhibited and the statements he made are simply not done by normal, sane, rational people. Some of these things have been going on for years...literally.

With regards to recent events, if he wants to plead temporary insanity that's fine and I could even understand that. Still though, it is insanity nonetheless.

I probably never would have came back If this board sale ended up not happening. After my last banning when Bigfan got extremely hateful, edited my posts, and then slandered me, I was done. I'm all for giving or receiving shots (it's expected in a community like this), but all the bullshit he tried to throw at me made me never want to post here again. He might have been the worst shit talker I have ever seen in the history of the internet, and that includes almost a decade of reading WWN's posts. I'm sure that's why so many others have stepped away over the years too.

There are a lot of posts in this thread that are basically telling me why I should dislike him and even some saying I should not post on his board. I agree that a lot of stuff he allegedly did to folks I like is wrong. But in some ways, folks are doing the same thing that you accuse him of. I am fine with MANY of you not liking him and not posting on his new board. For my part, my interactions with him were fine. Should that change, then I may join the parade of dislike.

Each time I did something he did not like, he gave me fair warning to cut it out. I think MANY people here pushed the envelope and baited/dared him to ban them. FF comes to mind.

His behavior towards the end was not reflective of the prior 10 years.
