Hell,I can't answer that because I wasn't paying attention.

But damn it,that will not stop me from giving an opinion.

Agreed 100%.

I don't see a single winner out of this whole situation.

Other dustups we have had in the past have resulted in a feeling of greater community and occasionally a greater understanding of each other. I don't see a feel good story here.

So, what should they (Seacrest, JORR, and Nas) have done differently?

Why would my statement lead to that question?

It shouldn't, necessarily, and please don't take it as an adversarial question...

I just don't understand the point of stating over and over how "bad" the situation is and how there are no winners... to me (and again, perhaps I'm wrong), not naming the responsible party directly implies that there are things that should have been done differently from all parties involved when - to me - there is a singular party who is responsible for the entire thing.

Again, that's just my perception.

The end of mostly arbitrary bannings is a feel good story.

Guys getting banned for a BS reason,I would agree. How about guys who took pleasure pushing BF's buttons just for the hell of it? Guy's who get their jollies just by driving a guy nuts? Who decides what's fair game and what's not?

Good God, dude, just stop this dumb and incorrect narrative.

I don't like this situation. I contacted bigfan about a month after the initial meeting because I had not heard anything and didn't want this place to fail. He said that Nas was putting something together already and I was glad. I feel relieved that I did not get involved in this board purchase and feel bad for JORR, Nas, and Seacrest for having to deal with all this.

That said, I understand that many of you feel vindicated now. I don't blame you.

What needs to be said to put this all to rest now?

Responsibility has little to do with it. You are focused on it for obvious reasons but determining who has caused me to feel the way I feel about the situation does not change how I feel about the situation.

Seriously, me too.

The three board arrangement is quite silly. But folks refuse to back down and compromise.

Nothing, really. The bigfan stuff had largely died down on the board as a whole over the last week or so. His new board was launched, and it ramped things up again.

IMO, it will die down again over the next week to 10 days (especially with a holiday weekend coming up where the board tends to slow down anyway), but then bigfan will do or say something again to light fire. I have a feeling it will be like that for a while.

I understand what you are saying but I think our community staying alive is a victory. I personally would prefer to have BF in the mix but that doesn't seem likely now.

Hey,a few days ago,I responded to your post on the same subject.
I guess we feel the same way but to be fair,I wasn't involved in anything.

My involvement was bitching about the different colors the future admins had in their sigs some months back. I PM'd BF if I could have a color just to set everybody off,he said "no".

You worked hard to preserve it under stressful conditions.

I would have probably walked away from consummating the deal if I were presented the same situation. It's a labor of love and I'm glad you are trying.

I was prepared for the board to be bought by a corporate third party with forseeable results.

And to his credit, bigfan didn't want that. He could have gotten more money, no doubt. Somewhere things just went off the rails. I'm not really sure why.

This is where I am. I understand that it's a hot topic and I know how it became an issue again but I personally don't want it to be a daily thing and I don't think it is healthy for the board.

I was going to say this offline but I'm not sure about that. The domain name had actually been listed "for sale" for over 2 years. Either way I'm glad he turned the domain name over to us despite the issues.

I could make a case for every guy here being a shit heel IRL if I picked and chose.

It really bothers you guys that people who have had equally substantive interactions with the guy reached a different conclusion on his character. I like bigfan and have many valid reasons to do so. You don't like him and have many valid reasons to do so.

Well, you tried several ways to explain to Denis what's going on, and it didn't get through. We know who feels bad about this. We know who feels vindicated. We know who doesn't give a shit. We all have a general idea of what happened, without knowing specific details maybe. I'm not sure what else is left to say, but I'm sure if I check back in a few hours this thread will be at 28 pages.

Edit: I don't care personally if people want to keep discussing it. I just agree with Nas that it's probably better to just move on.
