I'm in the 51% who would never vote for Hilliary. But to be honest I think this moment is genuine.

The road is long when you start freakin' campaigning 4 years in advance. I remember when we were voting Kerry vs. Bush and the "Hilliary in '08" slogan had already started.

Being Illinois' lone republican (so it seems) I hope Hillary wins the nomination. I think that is the only way a republican will be able to win the presidency.

I was too busy hoping Martha's shirt would open just one inch more that I did not even notice any crying.

In all honesty, there is no crying in that video. I'd hardly even call it emotional.

At first I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Now I think it was just another ploy to get more votes. As BD said it was to show her softer side.

What was I thinking before? She's got no softer side only the calculating manipulative side that tries to get votes.

Billy hasn't seen her softer side in 30 years. That's why he's had to go to Monica and many others through the years.

I honestly believe Hillary's vagina grew fangs some time around 1986.

Her back is against the wall, espeically with the media hyping each primary win. If Obama takes NH, as expected, Hillary isn't done as she still has Super Tuesday with all of the larger states that she has great organization in left, but the perception in the general public will be that she's in trouble, or done.

I think she's willing to do anything to try and make a late comback in NH - if this works, obviously a great move to show her softer side through this "letting her guard down" moment. If it doesn't, she's in the same spot - losing NH, and the next few primaries, and she can focus on Super Tuesday.

There all freakin DEMOCRATS!!! Why cant they get along?? 81 bus routes to be eliminated Jan 20 including Addison St which of course besides Wrigley has 3 pretty big High Schools in Gordon, Lane and Schurz along with Blue/Red and Brown line train stations. How the hell can that bus line be eliminated?? Dumbass Democrats!!!!

She really can't cry about the fact that men don't want to see a women President.

Obama beat her with women voters in Iowa.

I believe Hillary will win New Hampshire.

If Hillary wins in NH, that would end up as a shocker - the polls I'm seeing has Obama up by 6-10 points.

I know. I have nothing to base my opinion on. Obvioulsy you can only go by the polls when trying to figure this. So I'd be wrong.

The Iowa polls had Edwards winning Iowa however.

I'm with you on polling in general. Leading up to the Iowa caucas, they were all over the place, but the main reason I feel better about these polls is that they are all close in their results, and that's even more impressive when you consider nobody knows exactly how the independents in NH will vote, though it's assumed most will be in the Democratic race.

My friends,
Although Hillary had lost this election prior to the Iowa caucus, this will be mis-remembered as the moment that sank her political career. She will lose NH today, badly, and will call it a day on 2/5 when California and New York support Obama.
I have seen many message board's reactions to the Hillary Clinton Cry (not much of a cry if you ask Evil J.A.C.K.) and it is not positive, even from the man hating feminists that previously backed her. She was a Gimmick candidate, like Ross Perot; a "wouldn't it be interesting if..." candidate. Unlike Perot, she needs a nomination.
Your Dear Friend,
Evil.

I haven't thought of her campaign as a gimmick at all yet and don't hear much at all about her being a woman. Kind of like I don't hear anything about Obama being black. In other campaigns it seemed like there was always the "woman" or the "black guy" that were gimmicky (Sharpton, Keyes, etc) but this time it feels like they're just candidates. To me she's done a pretty good job of campaigning and debating but Obama is just too strong and Edwards has been a huge thorn in her side. She almost lost it in the debate the other night when they were both going after her but managed to hold it together.

(CNN) — Democrat Hillary Clinton talked to CNN's John Roberts about tearing up on the campaign trail earlier Monday, saying the incident proves she has emotions.

"Well you know, I actually have emotions — I know there are some people who doubt that, but you know, I really am so touched by what I hear from people," said the New York senator. "It's usually about their problems.

“It's usually a mother who throws arm around me and says thank you for the Children's Health Care insurance program, or a man who drove here all the way here from New York to say I'd saved jobs in New York. That's really moving to me. That's how I judge the job I'm doing."

"So when this woman, this really kind woman, said to me, 'Well, how are you doing?' it was so touching to me," she said. "I'm so other-oriented. You know I'm not good about talking about myself. I don't get up and think about how I'm going to present myself. I think about, 'What am I going to do today to actually make a difference in someone's life?'"

Nice. I think she's losing it.
her problem is that she spent last night explaining this instead of stumping.

She was pissed. She thought Edwards would help her tag team Obama but instead he turned on her. You can tell it was unexpected. She raised her voice in anger after that. I wouldn't be surprised if you started to hear talk about race in the next week or two. It's hard for Hillary's people to throw out stuff about Obama being black (like we haven't noticed) because she is a woman and some people might rather have a black man run the country than have a woman run it. They both are running against long odds.

Do you think people in this country still care about that stuff though? I could picture a ton of push back if say Jesse Jackson was leading in the polls like Obama is, but I haven't heard a thing from anyone I know about him being black. The only time I've heard it is when the media has tried to create a story out of it, not something coming from the people. I'm sure there are some country bumpkins who won't like him because he's black but the only real race issue I've seen brought up was months back when certain people in the black community saying he wasn't "really black" because of his background. Haven't even heard that in a long time.

I really thought it was a show of weakness. I really think Hillary has no business running for anything. She had ridden the coat tails of her husband and yet I think Obama has less experience but I like the cut of his jib. You guys can pound me all you want but a women President would not make me feel comfortable going to sleep at night.

I also don't trust a women whose husband was cheating on her. Shows me she was a sleep at the wheel and has a problem keeping things on the up and up. The Clintons are scumbags in my eye's and there are tons of skeletons in Hillary 's closet so to speak.

I think this worked for her to some extent. The first 10 minutes of Nightline and the other news programs were all focused on this. They didn't get to Obama until halfway through the program. Any pub is good pub.

Ploy or not, it did make her finally look like a human being instead of a robot. I think the people on this board are not a good representation of how it played to real, non-creepy internet people, because I've heard a bunch of people say, hey, I wish she had been more "real" before.

I have never really liked her but I can comprehend how this all may really affect her and feel something for her as a person but I still wouldn't vote for her.

The biggest problem with a woman president would be that she would decorate the White House in all pink and institute a nationwide book club where you go and drink wine and gossip the whole time.

If you have a daughter that would be something you can point to so they can understand that they can achieve anything.

Women are not a minority. They represent 50.01% of natural births globally. Did you mean that they are a political minority? Again, I have to disagree, women showed strong voices in Iowa, I suspect they will in NH, and in this election in general.
It's not fair to minorities to include women as a minority.

I agree.

I agree as well. But, my point was that I think some people, many people felt that yesterday was her being "herself" and they did like it. Whether that means they vote for her is the big question (I think probably not).

However, it was a big news story that made her look real, more personable, and had some people anyway feeling better about her. People who look at her emotion as a sign of weakness probably weren't going to vote for her anyway since they obviously have the predisposition that women have the proclivity to let their emotions get the best of them and this just confirmed it. So, I don't think it matters that she loses them because she probably already lost them.

So, I think it was a plus for her albeit short-term. In the long-term it could quite possibly be a "defining" moment of a losing campaign and that won't play well down the road as a political maneuver but does make her look like a human.

I'm not a Hillary Clinton fan, but it seems as if the people that are causing the biggest uproar about this are people that never had a chance to vote for Hillary Clinton. She isn't popular to a lot of people and scares the hell out of a lot of republicans. She's not even popular from a lot of democrats and that is what she is finding out now.

I don't think there will be many people on election day that go to the polls and say "I like Hillary Clinton, but she cried a little, so I'm voting for Obama".

Yeah Nas, I knew what you meant but I am beginning to disagree. The women voters, the Soccer Mom movement, Pelosi and Clinton, I just think that the women are no longer a real minority in terms of political or social influence in this country.
The hispanic vote and the black vote are now highly valued voters. The women are clearly a high target voter.
No, I do disagree with you. I think the minority voter, your least influential voter in todays world, is the middle class (not even a racial boundry here, just middle class in general). Our leaders don't care for what they have to say. They're taxed out of making political contributions that the special interests and the corporations can make. No, today's candidated seem to view the Middle Class as expendable.
They are becoming the new political minority.
If you are an Illinois voter, and you do not support Obama or clinton, then you might as well not bother voting in this years election. We all know damn well that the Illinois delegates are behind the Democratic nominee.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I was just listening to a show that took 3 callers in a row that said they liked that she finally showed some warmth and wished she would have been more open before.

So, whether we believe it or not, there seem to be many people that do.

This means nothing. Their marriage is like everything else in their lives. Staged, manipulated, and contrived for their careers. I'd bet she stepped out a few times herself.

Her problem is she is not getting the votes she should get from people like her (the ones that were suppose to identify with her). And Obama is taking votes away from her.

I'd have no problem with a women President, just as long as it is not this one.

I think it's insane to look down on Hillary because Billy cheated on her. Billy is the problem not her.

I do beleive she reached a point where she didn't care any more. Their marriage became a political partnership as Billy's star was rising in the late 80's.
