Four games in Florida ... they don't need to, but they damn well ought to, beat the beards off the Marlins every game.

Take special note of your cleanup hitter tonight and his position in the field. Henry Ford had it right long ago with interchangeable parts.

Thank god we get a 4 game series without mediocre Arrieta going.

Do you think he's enough to get James Shields? Or do we have to add Willson Contreras?

edit: Thank you very little.

The Cardinal sweep has me more nervous than I should be with a 9.5 game lead. I've said all season that I'm looking at this season and saying "FUCK HISTORY". Now suddenly I'm tightening up like a snare drum and worried about Arrieta and mumbling to myself in the corner.

I think we all still have that feeling in the back of our minds only because we've been burned so many times before.

None of us have ever seen the Cub organization look this strong from top to bottom in our lifetimes and unfortunately for us, the only history we have to compare it to is bad history so naturally our minds and hearts fear the worst.

And yes I know nothing in the regular season guarantees post-season success, but when you really break things down objectively, we're set up for quite the run going forward.

As long as Matheny is the Cardinals manager the Cubs will never worry about the Cardinals.

I'm an enigma.

If you say so ... I've never had the misfortune of needing one.

Should've gotten more than one run there but I like the way the bats are looking tonight.

I think we get to Chen in the next inning or two.

Good God!

Did you see that effort from Baez?

Runner is probably safe but damn that was something.

He didn't get him, but that was unbelievable. There were so many skills that went into that play. Wow.

Took mlb long damned enough ... I was listneing to Arvydas Sabonis talk about being there to watch his kid get picked in the lottery, flipped back over to the game and everyone was shitting bricks about what Javy did but I'd missed the replays.

I remember when Willllllllson's name was first brought up he was listed at 6'1" 175 and I said he was way too small to be an everyday catcher. Now I see he's listed at 215. Packed in a quick 35. Things suddenly make a lot more sense.
