What a foul mouthed monster. This is no doubt a lingering product of the years when he was coached by an ogre.

Derrick will have a great season than going back to playing 60 games a year once he gets his new contract.

I cannot think of a player that I soured on so quickly in sports. When he first came to the Bulls I loved him. He seemed like a humble kid that was amazing at basketball. Appeared to be a match made in heaven for the Bulls and Chicago. But when the shit show started it went downhill quick. I did not enjoy watching the Bulls nearly as much the last couple of years because of all that went on with him. Honestly, I think I would rather be bad for a few years without him, than still have him on the team and be a borderline playoff team. Glad to see the Bulls move on.

It's sad, and I was such a fan of his as a kid (when he was a kid - not me) that I'm sure I'll still find myself rooting for him out of instinct. He was so fun to watch... perhaps the most fun player to watch in the league for a year or two and certainly a historic talent at his size. Such a D-bag now, though... very bittersweet for me, personally. He single-handedly got my family and me back into the NBA.

Game 1 of the ECF against the Heat in 2011 is the 2nd greatest sporting event I've ever witnessed in my life. My brother and I left thinking we were on the verge of another dynasty. The UC was electric.

Best was still Game 2 of the 2003 NLCS.

For hardcore Bulls fans, that was the post-Jordan pinnacle. If we could have frozen time right then, it would have been great. Taj putting Dwyane Wade in his groin led to me jumping around the bar and tackling strangers.

I was confident the Bulls would win a title within 2 or 3 years.

agreed x200. What a great game. I remember walking down Addison west, as everything was closed off, no buses, no cabs. It was surreal.

That is bullshit about Rose wanting to recruit free agents to NY.

holy shit he actually said that?

idk what's crazier: derrick saying this latest round of "WTF?!" stuff, or bernstein on the (ownership) muscle (guess which one?) saying that "if jimmy butler isn't going to work with fred hoiberg then get him out of here too" --- we don't even know if hoiberg is closer to tim floyd or brad stevens (guess which one?) but he's ready to run your next "guy" out of town just so you can have THE 100% UNADULTERATED VISION OF FRED HOIBERG ON THE COURT!

seriously, i gotta believe that management got a hold of bernstein and 1) told him to stop saying "garpax" cuz it's a GAR FORMAN JOINT and 2) do whatever you gotta do to "make fred look good" </romanreigns>

Yep

I would think so, but most of those questions they put to him were about as tough as you'd expect from some farm newspaper in Buttfuck, ND.

Knicks need to add Dwight Howard to have the hat trick All-NBA piss-poor attitude team.

Kevin Durant spotted shopping for condos on south beach.

you should take a nap Walt, you're stuttering and stammering all over the place.

There is no reason to sour on the Cubs right now. Heyward has been bad so far, but he still comes off as a good guy and not a total douche like Rose developed into.

Rose, "I'm glad to go to a place where I am appreciated." and "I had a good year last year. The players know how good I am. The media and fans don't know how to look at the game."

"John Paxson did not get dumb overnight".

It's obvious the Bulls problem is Thibs, Derrick, Jimmy, Gar, Noah, Jen Swanson and Ron Adams.

But John is smart enough to fix all this. Gotcha, Dan.

New York's the biggest of big cities but can feel extremely insular and claustrophobic--if you get on the wrong side of it, or it gets on the wrong side of you.
D-Rose just got to new york. Once he's playing, there's no escaping the papering of the city with the Post's and Daily News full page piss-takes:
