Perfectly stated. And like Brouge said, hopefully they'll win it before they have to make a decision on him.

He's having a season so far that ( paraphrasing JORR) if you look at his numbers he looks great but the eye test says he's struggling a lot in his starts.

Another guy who will be " fine". Read somewhere he's 4th from the bottom in hard hit balls in the league. Not sure what the criteria is but I have no problem believing it.

Yea....considering it's almost July, what month does the "he's a slow starter" no longer apply?

Wow.

Jake's looking like he might need to skip a start or two.

I said it a long time ago. Arrieta pissed hot. MLB didn't want to turn everyone against the upstart Cubbies right away so they made a deal, no suspension and the test is kept hush-hush but in the meantime Arrieta has to stop going to his "pilates lessons." Jake Arrieta is over.

Santiago. The other two aren't athletic. He has to learn to throw from his knees, though.

This thought is worse than a Beardown post about Drinky.

His command is way off this year. Throwing a ton of pitches . What they say earlier? He's had 5 five inning starts out of 15 this year. This is first half of 2014 stuff again with better results. This is probably more of what should be expected from him than what he did last year.

Yeah I love a "good" conspiracy, but if Jake has a failed test out there I think it'd be too big a story to keep a lid on.

Now if you want to suggest that word came down that testing was coming so as to give guys a heads up to get off the gas, well that idea I can entertain.

I bet most Cubs fans think its just coincidence that Warren is being stretched out.

Gotta believe Maddon and the FO see that Willson is the man going forward.

Though it might also be time to question Montero being Arrieta's personal catcher.

Possible that is what happened. But he hasn't been the same since other players started accusing him of roids use.

His command has been shit all year, but for whatever reason, he got away with it early. The no-hitter didn't even seem that dominant.

"Nice play by Montero" to run after another pitch that gets away from him.
