Have you ever wondered why one of the primary themes of kids toys is farm animals who are anthropomorphized to seem happy, but those same animals are only allowed to live so that they can be slaughtered and eaten?

My business partner, Joe is the middle kid of three. His brother is two years older and his sister is three years younger. When they were kids the two boys didn't want to play with their sister, but their mom told them they had to. They would play with toy cars, Hot Wheels and Matchbox. Joe still didn't want to play with his sister so he told her she could be a criminal and get to control the criminal's car. She got happy for a minute and was playing with the car "driving" it around. Then Joe drove a police car up to her and pulled her over. He told her she had to go to jail and put her car off to the side so he and his brother could continue playing uninterrupted. I'm sure he would have loved to have a toy jail.
