Hmmm...

Give me your Contreras prediction?

Rick Wilkins, Benito Santiago or Piazza?

Santiago. The other two aren't athletic. He has to learn to throw from his knees, though.

And is that pre-juice Santiago or post-juice?

Those are just flashbacks to 1980's Cub games at Booooosh Stadium.

It'll pass.

Somebody has got to tell Rizzo that he needs to know where his second baseman is lined up and not range so far his right.

Not sure if they could have gotten Hamilton, but they would have had a better chance.

Rizzo has done that a lot this year, trying to make plays that should be left to his second baseman.

Theo is a little too busy telling teams who they cant have instead of ponying up. Needs to realize that when half his roster isn't wildly overperforming their career norms his team isn't anything special.

I dunno, he may be onto something. I don't exactly remember Bryant lighting up good pitching.

I don't think today is the day that you want to pretend Kris Bryant isn't any good.

Take a breather, regroup, and try again tomorrow.

Well if he did it wouldn't be good pitching now would it?

I'm going to go on record and state that Peralta is not the cure for what ails the Cub bullpen.

And neither is Joe Nathan.

Good to get a W.

Let's keep it going tomorrow with Lester on the mound.

Huge game for Bryant, but it's about time to start worrying about Arieta. His command has been horrible most of the season. Sure the velocity has been good, and the movement has been decent, but he has no clue where the ball is going. He's walking way to many, and the pitch counts are taking him out of games way to early. At this point, I lean on the side of running him into the ground the next 2 years, and then letting him walk. Go spend the money on someone younger.

Huge game is an understatement. When somebody does something like this (3 HR & 2 doubles) that hasn't been accomplished in 2 centuries, that is a superhuman performance.

Bumslayer your ass, jealous frickin Sox fans!
