Put my two weeks notice in at work on Tuesday. They said thank you but Wednesday will be your last day. My new job doesn't start until the 11th so for the first time since I was 14, I will technically be unemployed. I don't know if I can handle being a stay at home dad for the next 11 days. I'm going to go crazy.

Were you the one that NEEDED to work on July 1 due to the insurance gap? If so, they kinda screwed you.

Would have been helpful but no big deal. The COBRA ins can be signed up in 60 days and is retroactive to your last day. Now I just hope no one needs to see a doc until middle of August.

Blend Brick's idea, a pair of daisy dukes, and Craigslist and you'll quickly find yourself self-employed

In that case enjoy. I am envious. The last time I was unemployed for any amount of time was 1983.

Bet the ponies, golf, eat ice cream, eat ice cream in a pool, eat tacos in a pool, go to a water park, learn how to become a pitchpocket, create a few accounts at bigfan's new board, teach the kids to cuss, teach the kids to ride a bike, teach the kids how to properly dress a wound, look at some porn, eat tacos in a pool, make a sign an beg on a freeway off ramp, plant some spinach, play kick the can, light off some fireworks, go fishing, eat tacos in a pool, drive the wrong way down a one way street, go thru the toll booth and pay with all pennies (drop some if you really want to be a dick), take a boat ride down the Cal Sag, eat tacos in a pool, have some Crystal Pepsi, find out who Juggs is, take a nap.

There you go. See you in two weeks.

I'd have to figure that there are a whole lot of worse things out there than slinging hash w/ Sam for a couple days, plus the weather won't be God-awful hot and humid.
