Power has been out for 12 hours. I've gotten 5 hours of sleep since Sunday.

Generator is working as a bonus. But that took 2 hours at 3am in the rain. It's dark. And I'm wearing sunglasses.

Took them 3 days one time. Just moved all our stuff to the backup fridge and deep freeze on the generator. I don't like people messing with my meat uninvited.

I was off yesterday, so I decided to take little rsg to the park to play. There were some moms congregated on a picnic table, sipping their Starbucks, no doubt discussing the great deals to be had at Mariano's. They watched me like a hawk. Not like the "oh, how cute that dad is playing with his son" type glances, but looking at me like I'm about to snatch up one of their kids. My son is 13 months old, so I don't just let him run amok yet, meaning I was on the playground equipment with him but made sure to stay away from the other kids. Between shit like this and the comments I get ("oh, you're babysitting him today?"), fuck the way society views dads as aloof oafs.
