Where is your proof of this?

Proof of what? No team could give him the extra year and $30M that the Knicks could. That is why the Bulls pitched him on the idea of taking a 2 or 3 year deal and cashing in this offseason or next. That's what LeBron is doing. Marshmelo can still put the ball in the basket. He would have gotten far more than the $125M he is getting from the Knicks and possibly a championship.

He is supposed to trust the same Jerry Reinsdorf that dismantled the team once the two yrs were up. He also has an opt out after the 4th yr so he will still get paid. I know things would have gone entirely different if Anthony would have signed. It's also not surprising that you could not have produced any proof. More speculation.

Also for the thousandth time LeBron James and Anthony's situations are not similar. I really should not have to explain the myriad of reasons that their situations are different.

Proof of what? Maybe you missed that the first time. Jerry isn't the only game in town. Plenty of teams would pay for an elite scorer. They are splurging on bums now. We both know that you are worth more money in your early 30s than you are in your mid 30s.

The Knicks have a better team than the 3 main teams that sought Anthony 2 yrs ago. Splurging on bums Rose can still play and so can Noah. If they remain healthy the Knicks will be in the playoffs.

Be honest for once and quit trolling too. You are mad because the guy didn't sign with the Bulls. This isn't about other teams. The paradoxical nature of not wanting that losing bum while simultaneously repeating tired narratives about being disappointed with him not signing is most unbecoming.

I didn't say that the Knicks were splurging on bums. The Knicks are clearly better than the Bulls today but not the 2014-15 team.

Of course I wanted him. I thought that the Bulls were the perfect fit for him. They had guys that could take some of the pressure off of him and maybe show him a better way to play. We saw how much his skill set was needed that year too. The Bulls offense couldn't score for a long periods of time against the Cavs. Rose and Butler could not buy a basket and Gasol got hurt. Having a guy like him would have made a huge difference. I believe they could have beaten the Cavs and Warriors with him.

Dude, are you always hostile and on the defensive?

I was laughing at his post... but of course you take it as a personal slight because you are overly sensitive or something. Stop being a victim.

A post made what six months ago? It's not about being sensitive. It's the same Ole tired agenda. Get a new beat. It's old by now. I can really get on this sort of thing but choose not to. That really is a delayed reaction. Yeah right.

I wonder if BRick will come in here stomping and crying since he was also mentioned in a post I laughed at. My guess is no.

Something tells me that the agenda isn't quite the same where he is concerned. Also seeing as you chose to comment in a thread where my name was bumped as a way of bringing attention maybe he'd infer that it wasn't him you were laughing at. Just a guess. What gets me and I mean no disrespect is that it's obvious what the game is and rather than deny it, just admit it and keep it moving. Maybe if you did this I wouldn't be so "sensitive".

LTG, you and I have conversed JUST FINE the past couple weeks. Why would I come bump an old thread to needle you? ROTS's post was quite comical. It has nothing to do with anything between you and me. Relax.

Agreed Knicks are better than Bulls today. Have the Bulls even filled a single roster spot since the draft? Horrible.

They would officially be the NBA White Sox if they sign him to.

Torched by George Karl in his memoir . White coach getting pretty upset about a black player. Or something.

12:48 PM CT
ESPN.com news services
Former NBA coach George Karl didn't hold back in his criticism of Carmelo Anthony, writing in a book set to be released in January that the New York Knicks forward was a "true conundrum" during their time together with the Denver Nuggets.

"Carmelo was a true conundrum for me in the six years I had him," Karl wrote in "Furious George," according to an advance copy obtained by the New York Post. "He was the best offensive player I ever coached. He was also a user of people, addicted to the spotlight and very unhappy when he had to share it.

"He really lit my fuse with his low demand of himself on defense. He had no commitment to the hard, dirty work of stopping the other guy."

Karl coached Anthony from January 2005 to February 2011, when Anthony's demand for a trade was fulfilled and he joined the Knicks. Karl said the trade was "a sweet release for the coach and the team, like popping a blister."

Fired by the Nuggets after the 2012-13 season, Karl served as an ESPN analyst before returning to the sideline with the Sacramento Kings in Februar 2015. An acrimonious season-and-a-half in Sacramento ended with Karl's firing after the 2015-16 campaign.

Karl, who has also coached the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Seattle SuperSonics and Milwaukee Bucks, has a career record of 1,175-824.

The coach was also critical of J.R. Smith and KDdidit Martin, comparing those two, along with Anthony, to "the spoiled brats you see in junior golf and junior tennis."

Karl wrote that Smith, who is now with the Cavaliers, had "a huge sense of entitlement, a distracting posse, his eye always on the next contract and some really unbelievable shot selection."

We don't know if you can build around Jimmy Butler as your franchise's star.

We know you can't build around Carmelo Anthony.

Phil is not wrong, but he needs to go to.
