Both the idiot Sox fans enjoying the Cubs impersonating their team as well as the idiot Cubs fans asking questions about a failed season can look forward to a respite from their own idiocy over the next three games, and probably also for the Thursday makeup game against Atlanta - what better day to celebrate your independence from your own dopiness today!

4th: Cody Reed (l) v. Kyle Hendricks (r)
5th: Brandon Finnegan (l) v. John Lackey (r)
6th: TBA (?) v. Adam Warren (r)

Baez leads off ... and, as per BRogue, Heyward @ 6 ... youngest lineup of the year (nobody older than 26).

92 win season if they play .500 ... 100 wins if they play .600 ... relax folks.

this is the "don't pay attention to baseball" portion of the season. it's annoying that they dropped their pants in NY but like i've said before, it's just part of the script with the cub.

I remember saying and hearing about 90 wins for the Sox if the just played .500 the rest of the way too.

Lucky for the Cubs, they get to play the Reds a lot.

Unfortunately for the White Sox, they don't get to play themselves at all.

It's as brilliant as bellyaching over the Cubs "getting" to play the Reds.

which puts them at right around .500 vs the rest of the league.

unfortunately for the Cubs, Reds/Bucs/Phillies won't be available to play against in October.

This Candelerio kid best get it going.

He's hampering our L.A. Dodger's of the past like success with call-ups.

And bam! He earns himself a walk.

Centerfielder's ball. if he calls it. even if he has to sprint to get to it. dem's da rules.

outfielder calling off an infielder, outfielder's ball.

As of right now, I only worry about the Mets. They are in the Cubs head.

Marlins looked good. Added a bullpen arm since taking 3 out of 4 from the Cubs.

But I don't see Mets and Fish both making the post-season--absent a complete collapse from the Nats.

And if somehow the NLCS ended up Cubs-Marlins? #GhostsOf2003

Those tend to be the dopes that neither of us particularly wish would share their sports thoughts often, no?

Those Reds uniforms look bizarre ... esp the logo on the left tit ... looks like the shirt's inside-out and we're seeing the wrong side of a sewn-on patch, like there should be little threads sticking out all around the perimeter.

Don't seem to like it because it's an empty statistic. There's no value is saying it. We already to deal with Frank's useless Cubs posts so more brain dead posts from a bag of cobwebs doesn't help.
